I sat in the boy's apartment and waited. When were they coming home? Surely they would be here soon. Then, I heard the keys in the door and it opened. I jumped on Harry and wrapped my arms around him before he, or any of the other boys, even had the chance to step foot in the apartment.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry! I shouldn't have over reacted like that! It's my entire fault!" I said without taking a breath.
"No. It's my fault! I should have –"
"Just shut up and kiss me!" I interrupted him. Harry smiled and placed his lips on mine. I pulled my head away from his.
"I'm so glad we're okay now," I said.
"So am I," he agreed and hugged me tighter. I released him.
"I think we're blocking the doorway," I giggled.
"Oh right!" he laughed as he stepped out of the way so Louis, Niall, Zayn and Liam could come into the apartment.
"Look we're really sorry Jaida," Zayn said.
"Yeah we should have told you," Louis admitted.
"We just wanted to protect you!" Niall insisted.
"We didn't want you to get death threats or anything for hanging out with us. It's not like we didn't trust you, I mean, I would trust you with my life." Liam added.
"Look guys, its ok. I get it. I over reacted anyway," I said.
"GROUP HUG!" Louis yelled and immediately I was engulfed in a mass of bodies.
"Erm guys... I can't breathe!" I squeaked. They let me go and they started laughing.
I turned to Harry. "Come with me for a second?" I held out my hand. He took it and I led him to my apartment. I sat him on the couch and grabbed the laptop. I turned Skype on and dialled my Dad.
"Hello! Jaida! Sweetheart! It's been too long. How are you? How's your mother?" he asked.
"Yeah, yeah. Look we're fine. Dad there is someone I want you to meet. This is my boyfriend Harry," I said as I pulled Harry into view.
"Hello sir!" Harry greeted.
Dad squinted his eyes as if scrutinizing Harry. "Hmmmm... He could do with a haircut!"
"Dad! He can hear you, you know!" I squealed.
"Yes, I'm very well aware of that sweetheart," my Dad replied. "Now would you mind exiting the room for the moment? I would like to speak to this Harry fellow by himself."
I looked at Harry, then at my Dad and then back to Harry. "Will you be ok?" I whispered to Harry.
"I'll be fine," he reassured me. I leaned forward to cover the webcam and gave Harry a kiss. We got caught up in the kiss, completely forgetting about everything else.
"Just because I can't see you doesn't mean I can't hear you," said my Dad. I blushed bright red and removed my hand from the webcam.
"Good luck you two! I'll be next door if you need me. Just let me know when you two are done!"
I left the room and went to see the boys.
"Where's Harry?" Zayn asked.
"Oh he's next door talking to my Dad," I replied casually.
"Don't you guys think you're rushing this a little bit? I mean you only really started going out yesterday," Liam said.
"Yeah but I've just got this feeling. Like it's meant to be, you know? Hey, how about I make you guys something to eat? You want something to eat? What would you like to eat? Oh! I know! I'll make some muffins," I rushed. I grabbed some bowls and ingredients and started making the muffins. I placed the batter in a muffin tray and popped the in the oven.
"When will they be ready?" Niall asked.
"15 minutes!" I replied cheerily. "Now, has Harry come back yet?"
"Nope," Louis answered. "I think he's still talking to your Dad."
"Maybe I should go check on him..."
"Jaida! Don't worry! I'm sure he'll be fine!" Zayn assured me.
As if he knew we were talking about him, Harry entered the room.
"How was it? What happened? He didn't interrogate you, did he?" I gushed.
"No it was fine! I like you Dad, he's pretty cool. It was mostly just break her heart, I'll break you sort of thing," Harry replied with a smile.
"Oh, good! I thought he was going to do the other speech!" I said with relief.
"What other speech?" Harry asked but before I could answer there was a knock on the door.
"I've got it," Niall said. He opened the door to see my Mum on the other side.
"Where's my daughter?" Her mouth was in a straight line, a tell tale sign that she was not happy. I ran to the door and rescued Niall from my mother.
"Jaida, you're coming home right now," she said looking me straight in the eye.
"But Mum! I'm making muffins!" I whined.
"I'm sure that's not all you were doing." She shot me an accusing look.
Harry came to my side. "Is something wrong m'am?"
"Yes something is very wrong." Mum held up a copy of the magazine with me and Harry on the front cover.
I groaned. "Mum look I can explain."
"It's all my fault!" Harry piped up.
Mum ignored both or pleas. "Jaida. Home now."
All of a sudden feeling rebellious, I grabbed Harry by the shirt and kissed him intensely, in front of my mother.
"See you later babe," I whispered loud enough for only Harry and Mum to hear me. I kissed him once more on the cheek and then walked back to my apartment. It felt good to be able to kiss Harry in front of Mum. It made me feel good. I turned around to face Mum. She obviously didn't feel good at all.
