I stared at my closet and changed my outfit for at least the twentieth time. The boys hadn't told me where we were going so I didn't know what to wear. I decided on denim shorts over a pair of ripped fish net stockings with my Paramore t-shirt. I grabbed my red Converse sneakers from the cupboard and sat on the couch to tie them up. There was a knock on the door and I yelled out.

"It's open. Just come in!" The door opened and all the boys piled in.

"Are you ready to go?" Niall asked. "If we don't leave soon we'll be late!"

"Yeah! Almost, almost. Lettme just do my makeup!" I replied.

I walked past the guys to grab my eyeliner off the table and I swear I heard one of them mutter "Pfft! Girls and their makeup."

I scampered over to the mirror and shakily applied the eye liner.

"Alright your eye liner is on. Let's go!" Harry said.

"Calm your curls bro! I'm not done yet!" I exclaimed as I grabbed my mascara and started putting it on. I stuffed my phone into my pocket and quickly scribbled a note telling Mum I had gone out. I flattened my straightened hair and then exhaled.

"Now I'm ready!" I said smiling. "Now where are we going?"

"You'll see!" Liam said. We headed down the stairwell and finally got to the foyer. I started for the front door when I noticed none of the boys were following me. I turned around and saw that they were going the opposite way.

"Ermm... Guys where are you going? The door is this way..."

The boys exchanged cautious glances. "The front door's too mainstream. C'mon or we're going to be late!"

I sighed and quickly followed them through a series of corridors. We finally reached a door and we were whisked away into the back of a limo. I was amazed. How did the boys afford this?

The screen in between the driver's seat and the back seat slowly wound down to reveal a young woman in the driver's seat.

"Where to boys?" she asked.

"The place we discussed before Esther," Niall said winking.

The driver, who I assumed was called Esther, sighed knowingly. Her eyes settled on me. "So you must be Jaida! Happy birthday, girl!" Before I could respond the screen wound back up and Esther had disappeared from view. I was confused. They way they spoke to Esther, it was like they'd known her for years. She was just a taxi driver right? I pushed my thoughts to the back of my mind and enjoyed the ride.

"Well here you are boys," she said, "and girl. Have a good time. I'll be back at ten to pick you all up! Don't be late!" she warned as we started to exit the car. I got out of the sleek black limo and was surprised. The boys had brought me to a carnival! I looked at the huge field and saw all the different rides and food stalls and games. I hadn't been to something like this since I was about 8!

"Well what are we waiting for?" Liam asked. "Let's have some fun!"
