When the bell rang, letting the students know they were now free to leave, Emma got up and walked out without glancing at Harry. As Emma paced through the door, she spotted Niall and Louis waiting for her right outside the class room. She knew why that was. Niall wanted to make sure of two things. One was making sure that rumors in school didn't affect her, the students talking won't get her upset, and two, make sure she stays away from Harry Styles. They strode out and up the hill to where Eleanor awaited them.
"So how was class?" She asked when they reached her.
"Boring, same shit every day," Louis sat down, pulling Eleanor on to his lap.
"What about your morning?" Niall turned to Emma.
"I got a project, it's due by next week, guess who I was paired with.." though she didn't wait for them to answer- "Harry!" She stared straight at Niall.
Emma's POV
"I can't believe you need to work with him... Karma is a bitch," Louis finds me being teamed up with Harry hilarious.
"Emma, you need to ask Mr. D to switch you with someone else," Niall protests.
"Why? It's just a project, I'll write it myself and put his name there or something.. It'll be fine," I shrug.
I don't want to be teamed up with Harry, but there is nothing I can do. I won't go and ask to be switched now, it is just too rude to do.
"I remember Harry having good grades," Eleanor suddenly claims. We all turn to stare at her.
"He did, we used to use his help all the time."
"You did? I didn't realize you guys were friends before," I tilte my head.
"Well, not really.. I was friends with his sister.." She trails off.
I don't push her for more information. I can tell by the look on her face she doesn't really want to talk about it.
"So El, did Jen get you to help with Homecoming too?" Niall changes the subject.
"Yes she did, which reminds me I should go, Emma you should come too." I glance at Niall, who nods in approval, always pushing me to become better friends with his own.
"Sure," I offer her a smile as I get up to my feet after her.
"So listen," Eleanor starts when we are away from the boys ears. "I know it's kind of scary needing to work with Harry, but you should know, he is smart.. and even though he acts like a douchebag, he is only like that to guys, usually he has enough respect for girls." We continue through the path quietly. I am thinking of what she just said. If Harry has respect for girls then why did he treat me like he did the other day?
"How was his sister- Hope?" I finally ask.
"I miss her..." Eleanor exhales "We were best friends."
"You were?" This is a new piece of information too.
"Emma," Perrie waves to me as we pass her. I wave back smiling.
"Her too," Eleanor nods towards Perrie.
"What do you mean?" I am confused.
"Perrie, Hope and I.. We were inseparable," She laughs.
"What happen?"
"You know what happen," She whispers.
"Hi girls," Jennifer is happy to see us. "So we need to give out flyers today," She offers each of us a bunch.
