My mother came for 1 last time this morning to give me my stuff. We sat and cried for ages but it was finally time to say goodbye. I gave her 1 last hug and then she was gone forever.
An funny looking lady walked down the corridor looking for a Miss Riley Francis. I said that it was me and she looked horrified at the site of all my bruises and scars.
"Come dear, we have to go now," she said to me.
"I don't want to," I replied shakily.
We arrived at the adoption centre at 5:00pm. I yawned and asked if it was bedtime yet? The lady just laughed and told me to go and meet the other kids. There was Kendall, Kerry, Sophia and Ruby. I just about died of embarrassment when they all started laughing at me. The lady I found out was called Verity and she seemed to sense that I was uncomfortable and so led me to my room.
