Chapter 2

(Still Lumine's POV)

I swiftly ran to outside, and to the very back of the house.

"Crap! He saw me crying, so embarrassing! He'll never like me now.." I thought, as I curled up into a ball on the cold concrete path. I continued cry, making the concrete wet with my tears.

"Hey, are you okay?" I looked up to see Elijah waving.

"W-what are you doing here?" I cried, wiping off my tears.

"What's wrong?" Elijah asked kindly with a warm smile, bending down to my level.

"N-none of your business!" I angrily spoke, as he sat next to me.

"Okay." I was surprised by his answer, but felt very safe.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." He assured, wiping a tear off of my face making my detest telling him even more. I assumed he was here because we were supposed to play some video games and hang. Elijah is so kind, I just wish he wasn't here right now.

"I don't-." I said, but then was interrupted by his arms.

"If you want to cry, cry." Elijah smiled, holding me in his arms and pulling me into a hug.

"O-Okay" I accepted his proposal and cried to my heart's content. I just couldn't deal with Kody's hot voice right now, as much as it makes my heart flutter.

I felt warm and safe, I was really happy that Elijah was my friend. I didn't want to cry anymore, but I did want to thank him for his kindness.

"T-thank you." I praised, as he held me tighter.

"No problem. That's what boyfriends are for. I meant friends t-that happen to be m-males!" Elijah blushed furiously, looking away from my gaze for some odd reason.

After a while we stopped hugging and simply sat adjacent from each other. We talked about random subjects for a while, until we heard somone call my name.

I wasn't really paying attention so I ignored it.

"Lumine! I found you." Kody said happily, glad that he found me.

"Are you okay?" Kody questioned, still sweating from frantically running around.

"I'm f-fine." I assured, as Kody noticed the red headed boy.

"Elijah? What are you doing here?" Kody greeted, waving questionably.

"I came over here to play video games and hang out." Elijah spoke, finally admitting his reasons for appearing.

"So, lets go play video games then." Kody gestured, pointing towards the opposite direction.

"Yeah!" I agreed.

As we headed inside, I could feel someone's gaze upon me, but ignored the awkward feeling.

"Which game?" Kody asked formally, picking up the several diverse games.

"Super Smash brothers!" Elijah and I enthusiastically agreed, as we spoke at the exact same words.

We played for a while eventually my best friend had to leave. Kody lead him out the door, while I waited patiently inside Kody's room, from which we were playing in.

(Kody's POV)

Lumine waited in my room meanwhile, I lead Elijah out the door.

"Wait! Is Lumine okay?" I asked, tugging on his arm.

"He is now. Did you do something wrong?" Elijah spoke, assuming Lumine's distress had something to do with me.
