Chapter 12

Kody's POV

Everything hurts, especially my throat. Am I dead? I really hope not. All I remember is Elijah telling me to try and speak or something.

If I'm dead, that would honestly really suck, because I haven't even got married or had spizzle time!

(Don't judge my wording. That's what I call spx in irl. I also now realize this isn't a story I will be sharing with my family ever..)

"Kody, this is all my fault I am so sorry. I should have believed you.." I hear a distant voice say, that I assume is Lumine. I open my eyes slowly to see him crying softly at the side of what seems to be a hospital bed.

"D-don't b-blame...y-y" I pathetically stuttered. For some odd reason I can't remember too much, I mean why can't I speak?

"Please don't speak until you heal. I did want to risk permanent damage. Just please resort to one to two word sentences." Lumine told me with a face full of guilt.

"This is the second time you've been in the hospital like this with bad injuries."

"I..love..you." I managed to say, but then Lumine shushed me again.

"Let's talk after you recover. I only have a little more time left with you, because I have to talk to the police."

"Why?..." I can't remember anything and I have so many questions. Why am I in the hospital, what wrong with me?

"Don't worry about it, we'll talk about it after. Also, I am really sorry for not believing you. I should have known that you would never do that to me." His gaze looked away in guilt, but I could tell that he was blaming everything on himself.

"Kiss me."

"What?! Kody at a time like this?" Lumine's face got red quickly, and I just giggled at his cinnamon roll vibe.

"Just.. do.. it." I smiled at him, and he looked extremely nervous. Sooner than later, Lumine had his eyes closed and was so close.

His lips were finally on mine, so warm and soft. For so long have I've been waiting to do this. I want more, but I know here and now is not the time.

"Kody, I-" Lumine was about to say something, but someone cut him off.

"Um excuse me, but we need to question the witness." A very handsome officer came in unannounced and told us. Damn, this hot guy better make no moves on Lumine.

"Oh yeah sorry, I'll be there right away." Lumine apoligized formally with a slight blush, probably noticing his looks. Ugh, is this what jealousy feels like?

"Did I do something to make you mad?" He looked at me with puppy dog eyes that make my worry go away.

"No. I'm just...a..little...jealous." I got flustered with embarrassment.

"Don't worry. I would never cheat on you, plus you're way hotter. Wait. I didn't say that last part." Lumine blushed and turned around.

"Well, I gotta go. Get some sleep, and I will be back, love you." He left before I could return the two words.

I feel tired, he's probably right I should definitely get some rest.

(Elijah's POV)

Damn. I am screwed. I really messed up this time.

"We need a complete confession from you!" An officer interrogated me sternly with a determined look.

"I already told you everything. I thought I admitted to it too." I told him with no definable expression.

"I need to know your motive!" He yelled loudly.

"It was over Someone, and I was really jealous." I explained everything to him in detail like he authoritatively asked me to. After about twenty minutes of my explanation, he left for about ten minutes and came back.

"Your story matches up with the witness, but you won't be unpunished for your crimes. You're lucky you're under 18 and won't be charged as an adult." Hearing this information, made me have a sigh of relief.

"Thank you for cooperating at least." He thanked me and then left.

I'm sorry. Really sorry. What I did was unforgivable and I am honestly so sorry. I don't deserve forgiveness...

(Kody's POV- One week later)

"Kody!" Lumine ran up to me in the lobby arms spread.

"Oh gosh, I am so glad you're discharged!"

"I am too. Let's go on a date, right now." I grabbed his hand and asked my dad to drive us to the nearest restaurant.

"Can you please drive us to a restaurant?" I begged my father.

"Fine, but don't get into any fights." He sounded serious, which isn't usually the case.

"Okay, I promise." I reassured him as I took Lumine's hand.

"Wow, Whats with the rush?" Lumine asked me with a surprised tone of voice.

"I'm just excited to see you outside of these hospital walls." I explained to him, while holding both of his hands. Lumine blushed a little from the public display of affection I was showing.

"Okay..."

When we arrived at the random restaurant, I dragged Lumine in while saying my goodbyes to my father.

We ordered food and me and Lumine sat in a booth on the same side.

"You know there's another side to the table." Lumine told me, but I was purposely sitting next to him.

"I want to sit next to you, do you not want me to?" I asked worrisome.

"No, of course not. I am just not used to you being so.. how do I say this...not serious?" When Lumine said this, I realized he was right. Before confessing that I liked him, I was pretty cold and a tsundere really.

"Yeah, about that.. I am sorry." I apoligized for my past behavior and attitude.

"Wait, no. I am the one who should be apologizing. I'm the reason you were in the hospital in the first place." Lumine admitted to me, but I know it's not his fault.

"Lumine, don't say that. I love you and all, but I can't stand to see you guilt tripping yourself. It's all over now, it doesn't matter who's fault it is." I moved in closer for a kiss, and he accepted my words and succumbed.

"Wait, we can't do this here!" Lumine told me with a noticeably flustered look.

"Do what?" I asked in a suggestive voice.

"Uhhm. I mean we can't make kids. I meant we can't Kiss! Kiss!....words." Lumine covered his face and turned around as a blushing mess.

"I didn't think you even knew what is what I was referring to." I laughed his cuteness.

"Of course I know what you're talking about, I'm not a twelve year old anymore! I just don't like thinking about it. This is your fault that I think negative now. You're the one who made me dirty! No I meant! Ugh no nvm." Lumine mixed up his words once again, as I laughed at him.

"I'm just messing with you. Geese, you are adorable."

"Hello." A person sat across from us.
