❝i want to know about you.
i'm spinning all around you. ❞

dizzy on the comedown by turnover played way too loudly through tangled headphones.
blinking slowly, andy tried to comprehend what vic just told him.
"what do you mean?" the words escaped from his throat before he could stop himself. "is he like—..""no. he's not dead." vic shook his head, a small laugh rising through him. "he's just never been around. and when he is, he's shitty. never really payed attention to me."
the brunette's expression remained solemn. a loose curl fell onto vic's face as he rested his cheek onto his fist.
"this got sad.""i'm sorry. i didn't mean to ruin the mood." andy's voice lowered. hanging his head, he stared at his lap to avoid vic's gaze.
there he was again.
ruining everything.you're so annoying.
"no! you didn't ruin anything at all, i'm sorry for even asking about earlier." vic assured him.
"i'm actually glad you asked." andy's tone was bashful—a flustered look on his face.
"nobody ever like, wants to talk to me anymore.""why is that?"
"i don't know. i'm annoying."back and forth. they'd go back and forth; andy revealing something about himself and vic revealing something bigger. it was comforting, to say the least. finally, someone who understood him. they just clicked. it was surreal, to find someone so caring and patient.
"i'm coming clean for the first time." vic giggled.
"green day?" andy said breathlessly.
"i love them." vic replied.
a hush fell over the two. the stars seemed to align today. what else could possibly explain how well they were getting along?"i think you're my new best friend." andy joked, pulling his headphones out. the phrase only served in making vic laugh harder.
"i'd love that." the shorter boy grinned. tilting his head to get a better look at him, andy returned the gesture; a warm smile spreading across his face.the sound of the timer on his phone signifying that lunch was almost over made vic jump. he let out a heavy sigh as realization set in. they still had to go through 3 more periods before the day was over.
"we should head back already." vic announced, standing from his seat.
"yeah, we should."the walk outside was silent. almost dangerously so. had andy made it awkward? oh no.
why'd you stare?
"i don't think we have any other classes together.." vic's voice trailed off as he shoved his change into his backpack. "i've got toro's 4th period after this."
"i have iero's." andy sighed in frustration. "it's fine. we can catch up after school. well, if
that's f-fine with you."stuttering again. andy wasn't a good talker.
clumsy, forgetful, anxiety-ridden. a lovely combo."meet me on the quad after 6th period?" vic questioned, giving andy a cheerful look.
"yeah! yeah, i will." the taller boy answered a little too enthusiastically.god, he's gonna think i'm super clingy.
"thank you." andy stammered, cutting vic off before he could speak again.
baby pink dusted ivory skin as a smile pulled at the corner of his lips. a real smile. something he hadn't done in months."for what?" vic asked. the brunette let out a small laugh. tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, he awaited andy's reply.
"for even bothering to talk to me."
