"You're supposed to be at school, Dami." I said, whirling around. "You shouldn't be here."
"I got suspended." He said nonchalantly. "Apparently I insulted the teacher."
"Who brought you back? I saw Alfred just now and I'm pretty sure Jason wouldn't bring you back." I asked.
"Todd? You think I would allow myself to be driven home by Todd?" He glared at me. "Tt."
"Then who?" I asked. "Come on, Babybird. Tell big brother Dick."
"I brought him back." Tim's voice echoed from behind.
"You're supposed to be at school as well!" I exclaimed.
"I got let out early. Apparently, I'm suspended as well." Tim groaned.
I gave a mock gasp. "Little bird suspended? What is this? What happened Timmy?"
"You were going to get a call, but Babs helped us redirect it and she pretended to be Bruce. Sorry, by the way. It was these guys that were picking on Damian, saying that you were the one that orchestrated the attack against the secretary-general. He ended up beating them up, and in the process of trying to stop him from killing them, he used it as an excuse to beat me up as well. That little brat. We told the principal that Alfred was outside waiting for us, and I drove us back here. What are you doing here, Dick? I thought you were supposed to be at the precinct."
"I am. But I found something from last night." I took out the shuriken I found at Emma's apartment. "I don't really recognize the design, but if Emma is hiding that she's been attacked, there could be trouble. Especially since the five meta-vigilantes are meeting up at her place right now."
"Doesn't she have a class to go to?" Damian asked. "Hadley usually has one of her art courses right about now."
"Do you stalk Em?" I shot back.
"Of course not, Grayson. Hadley is the only one who is talented with a paintbrush out of you lot. We've exchanged notes." He put his hands in his pocket.
"Are you two just going to ignore that you started a fight at school?" Bruce finally cut in.
They both crossed their arms at the same time. "We were defending you!"
"I was!"
"No, I was!"
"You're the one who got us in trouble!"
"You're the one the tried to stop me!"
"That's the good thing! You beat up those kids!"
"You should let me have my way! They had it coming! Father, tell Drake what he's saying is absurd."
"You two are acting like children." He thundered.
"We are children."
"I'm not a child! Stop patronizing me!" Ouch. Saying that to your dad? Big no no.
Guess who said what. Surprisingly, the one who said that they were children was the older Tim, while the one who was steadfast in his opinion that he was not a child was the 10-year-old Dami. You'll soon realize that it's pointless arguing with them.
Tim scooted over to his own private computer, probably hacking into something about the shuriken. "Actually, surprisingly, Emma doesn't have a course today." Oh. I guess not.
"What about the shuriken?" I asked again.
He wheeled over, plucking it from my hands. "This design looks familiar. Let me see." He ran it through the scanner, and as the machine worked, Damian stormed over.
