I hug Izuku, as we stand at the front porch of his house. He is shaking slightly from the unexpected changes that took place, and I can understand why. I would be shocked too if I the number one hero came to me, and told me I was worthy to inherit his quirk that has been passed on for ages!
I bid him goodbye, as I start the walk towards my own home. I walk slowly, trying to put everything that happened into place.
I went into town, I met a fanboy named Midoriya, we got attacked by a slime villain, we met All Might, we attacked the very same slime villain, because it held the blonde, fuming hedgehog, and then All Might dropped a bomb on everything Midoriya ever knew about anything.
Yup, that all happened in the span of a single day.Soon enough I get home, and I don't even bother to go to my room, as I throw myself to the couch, instantly falling into a deep slumber.
-------------------------------
I feel someone pulling my cheek.
I shriek, jumping probably two meters off the ground. I almost faceplant onto the floor, but I spin myself around quickly, nailing the landing for once.I look at the person who woke me up, and I see Hagikune with an amused glare.
"Good morning... Took you long enough to wake up. We have a long day of training ahead of us, so you better get stretching" She says, throwing some black leggings and a loose t-shirt at me.
Oh boy, am I going to be really exhausted after this.-------------------------------
"Try harder! Think of me as your greatest enemy, who has planned of making this world their slave, their mindless, messed up messenger to get a hold of this universe, and that you are the last one in the way of their devious plan!!" She shouts at me from a distance.
I gasp for breath, as I try to wipe the sweat from my forehead. I watch as Hagikune starts running towards me for the hundredth time. It seems like it's really easy for her, like she's a bullet cutting through the air, but I know it's not. She is using the time in her advantage, which makes her seem a lot faster.
I get ready, as she then basically disappears. I jump away quickly, as the machete she calls "her own little puppy", hits the ground at the spot I just stood on."You can't keep avoiding me forever... You have to use your quirk wisely before I catch you off-guard!" She grunts, and swings the blade at me. I dodge, gathering up my focus to think.
She is right... I can't keep going for nearly long enough, and considering that she can use her quirk for long periods of time without the drawbacks kicking in, I'm really at a disadvantage. I can't use my quirk too much, because then I run the chance of fainting from loss of oxygen... I'll just have to try and break the rules she's playing by...!
I let my body go to autopilot, as Hagikune keeps on trying to break my defense. I concentrate, imagining the earth beneath her forming a small bump. I keep my gaze normal, trying to look like she's tiring me out, which wasn't far from the truth actually.
She smirks, and jumps over the earth obstacle. I growl quietly, as she tries to swing at me again. I react quickly, jumping farther away from her.
I see her jump at me, and then I realise that she doesn't jump fast, but when she hits the ground, it accelerates. This might indicate she can't slow or stop time while she's in mid air... That must mean that I have to either get her to float or press her to the ground, so she can't do anything, all this without getting punched. I run farther again, as I think of a plan.
I slow a little bit, concentrating on the pressure of the air around us.
'I just hope this won't knock me or her out immediately...' I think, waiting for her to come over. When she comes close enough, I imagine the air around her becoming like a bubble, where the inside has much more pressure, making her weaker, and almost to the brink of unconsciousness as she can't breath well enough. I desperately gasp for air, as I see Hagikune trying to slow down time, but she can't put her basic needs to the side.
I release the air pressure, and Hagikune stands up after she has gotten enough energy. She looks at me, and immediately comes over when she sees the condition I'm in.
Sweat is rolling down my face, as I take in as much air as I can per breath, but the need for oxygen is far too great. I fall on my knees, trying to calm my rapid breathing into a deep and steady rhythm. Hagikune tries to help me by rubbing my back with her hand, and slowly, the burning in my lungs is being helped by the sweet, sweet air. My breathing gets calmer and calmer, as my head clears from the panic of not being able to get oxygen into the system.
I slowly stand up with the help of Hagikune, and we start walking back towards the house.
"It seems like the breathing becomes a really hard task when your brain is trying to handle multiple things at the same time. Also, the pressure of the air isn't really a physical thing you can change to your liking, so it made it really, really hard on you. But, good thinking otherwise, because the subject can't do much anything while incapable of breathing correctly or at all" Hagikune says.
"But next time, I want to see you doing something that doesn't put you to immediate danger, like maybe trying to make shapes out of clay. It might seem insignificant, but it will help you with seeing the changes in your mind. Also, we'll have to work on your focus, it will be really inefficient if you just stare at the wanted subject for the whole time" She continues, patting me on the back. I sigh, nodding my head slightly.
The drawbacks are now more clear than ever... The training has of course made me more tolerable to it, and has helped me to know my bounds, but they won't be getting any better for a while. Well, at least I'm training to make it better, so that's something...
We get back home, and I sit to the couch, deep in thought.
"Hagi... Do you know anything about the chances to inherit a quirk, or the chances for it to be a combination of the parents' quirks...?" I ask softly, using the nickname I gave for Hagikune. She turns to me with a confused expression, and when she sees my sad gaze, her eyes soften.
"I'm sorry, but I haven't delved into that kind of stuff, I'm sure the library will have some old books about that though, so would you like to go there? There's still daylight left, and this would be the perfect opportunity to study heroics, because UA isn't just a school for showing your quirk wherever you go, ya know" She says, the corners of her lips curling up to a small smile.
" I would love to" I say, getting up from the couch with newfound determination.
Hello, Smirk (the author if you were wondering :'D) here with a question!
So, would you like to get the chance to quess your quirk, or do you want me to put it into the next chapter or so?I can give hints, but it would be pretty obvious after a while, sooo...
