I rise from my bed, yawning loudly as I stretch my back. Slowly shuffling towards the kitchen, I look around for Mika.
'He's not supposed to have work today, so where could he be?' I think, plopping down onto the cushioned wooden chair.
Just as I finish my thought, the front door opens, and Mika comes in. He doesn't take off his shoes, which confuses me slightly."(Y- You aren't ready yet? We're going to the meeting with the principal today" He exclaims, as my eyes widen, looking almost like two paper plates on my head.
"But- You haven't said anything about it? And why is it todayyyy? I was going to have a relaxing bath and everything, too..." I say, pouting like a small child who didn't get the candy they wanted.
"Well, it is necessary if you actually want to go to UA like you've been dreaming... But if you don't want to, that's fine I guess" He says, looking slightly disappointed, his eyes gloomy.
Immediately, guilt rushes into my mind, and I sigh. Even after everything he has done for me, I keep on demanding for more... I know he went through so much to get me a chance, and I won't mess it up. He deserves it.
I rush into my room, taking whatever presentable clothing is scattered on the floor. I put them on, running to get my small bag that I can put my phone into.
When I deem that I'm ready, I speedwalk back, and soon after, we're off to find out what my future school looks like.--------------------------------------------------
As we walk to the entrance of the fancy looking school, we see someone waiting for us there.
The woman has black/blue-ish hair, and some kind of... Bodysuit on? Oh, I think her name's Midnight, if I'm correct?
The woman walks up to us, and shakes Mika's hand. She introduces herself as Midnight, which I guessed already, and then she turns her blue eyes to me."So you are the special one~ Welcome to UA, I am delighted to see such a pretty young lady here!" She says, pulling my cheek slightly while laughing at the face I'm making. She let's me go, and I nod respectively as a thank you.
She motions us to follow her, as she tells us where everything is. Well, at least I'm not going to have difficulty finding my class when school starts.
"-And here's the principal's office. Principal Nedzu is already there, and I will have to leave once you've gotten inside" She explains, and knocks on the door three times. Someone says something from the other side, and Mika pushes the door open.
Uhhh.
Am I seeing right?
The principal looks... Interesting to be completely honest."Hello, Mika, and who I assume is (Y/n) (L/n)? Go ahead, take a seat please!" The mouse-looking principal says, motioning us to sit down onto the two chairs in front of his table. He offers us some tea, and Mika declines politely. I gladly take the offer, enjoying the warm beverage.
"Now, let's get right into the reason you are here for!" Principal Nedzu says.
"As far as I am concerned, you are from a different country, Finland to be exact. That's going to make things a little bit more complicated..." He continues, more to himself than us.
"...But that'll be arranged with your homeroom teacher once the other students have been sorted! Now, the only thing we have to discuss is your Quirk" He mutters, then raising his voice towards the end.
I gulp, knowing already where this will go. Nedzu seems to pick up on my signs of nervousness, because he tells Mika that he can wait outside for a while. He nods, and exits the room."I know it might be a touchy subject, so I want to make it seem like a professional situation, like going to the doctor to get a prescription!" He says cheerily. I chuckle, relaxing a small bit.
"Uhhh... Well... I can't really explain it without going into the backround first..." I say, not sure how to start the explanation. The principal tells me to continue, and I start with the more... Questionable stuff, that I have done research about.
"Well, my Quirk is what I like to call Vibration..." I start.
"I read about the possibilities behind it, and I came to a conclusion. There is a belief, that everything around us, even the whole universe, vibrates. They have different pitches, and different qualities, but still. Those very same people also say, that our brains make those kind of vibrations, when we do any tasks that include any kind of brain activity. But there's one thing that I found which seems interesting, which is that negative vibrations are a lot weaker and not easily usable, which we see when we try to do something while believing that it won't work no matter how hard you try.
It kind of scares me how much moods can change things..." I say, completely going off the topic."A-anyway, this means that if anything could access these vibrations, they could mold things, make them float, create things, make them disappear, or even change the thickness, strength, the material itself or the density of it just by altering the vibrations. Well, that's the short of it, because there is many stories or other theories concerning the topic...
But that's basically my Quirk. I can alter or mess with vibrations of objects or any other things. There are some pretty major drawbacks though, but I'm trying to minimalise them. When I start to change the vibrations, my brain is working hard, so it needs big amounts of oxygen, which leads me to becoming exhausted, and leads to me starting to gasp for air. If it continues for too long, there is a big chance I fall unconscious, or in the worst case I could... Nevermind. Also, I have noticed that sometimes, although very rarely, memories or details disappear from my memory for a moment, but I don't know if they come back only after someone mentions them, or if they come back on their own..." I finish, taking a big breath after the long explanation.I look at the principal, and he seems... Intrigued?
"That seems like a really complicated power. And I take it that you are just guessing that these things are true, hmm? You seem quite unsure" He says, and takes a sip of the tea he prepared for himself.
"Well, yeah. I have no knowledge of my dad's Quirk, which makes it harder to know. I do know bits and pieces of what my mom's Quirk must've been, but yes, I am mostly assuming" I say.
"But, the weird thing is that I can somethimes see these random bursts of energy, like when an object is moving, it's like the direction where it will go, shows up to me, like the momentum, and the calculated place where it will land" I continue, looking down, remembering the time when Hagikune and I had a sparring match.
It felt like everything slowed down just a little bit, as I saw electric blue lines where she was about to hit. My mind went to autopilot, as I dodged every last one of her punches, and mamaged to roundhouse kick her in the face when she least expected it."Well, that is quite interesting!" He cheers, jumping from his seat to get Mika back. I sigh, relaxing slightly.
I didn't even realise how anxious I was about telling someone other than a close family member! The rest of the discussion circles around my class, new subjects and other stuff like that. He also mentioned the hero costume thing, which makes me excited. I get to design my own costume, and get it done without any additional costs? HECK YEAH!!
--------------------------------------------------
After the discussion with the principal was over, we took a taxi, and made our way back home. I immediately go up to my room, starting to brainstorm about what the costume would look like, but after a couple of hours, my eyelids start drooping.
And then, I nod off into a peaceful, deep slumber filled with electric blue, and the sound of someone singing.(???)'s POV
Can't he just shut up? There's nothing to shout at anyway, but still, he keeps on trying to reach somebody?
Can't he just give up, and realise that no one remembers, and if someone did, nobody cares?
That would make things a whole lot easier for us
