I sat on my front porch, swinging on my new bench swing that Harry had recommended I get. The journal was perched on my lap as I sipped on my lemonade and watched the few kids play on the street; the sun glistening as bright as ever.

I put my glass down and my hands grasped the journal, turning to a page I haven't read yet. It felt normal opening the leather bound notebook, unlike in the beginning where I felt awkward just in the presence of it. I found a page and started reading, blocking out the laughs and giggles from the kids playing.

            Dear DIary,

I met a boy today. His name I shall not mention just to tease you. I feel that he is the only one, besides you-know-who, that finally understands me. Yes I am still mad at him, and he with me. We have not spoken to each other for weeks, only glances at each other occasionally. He would glare at me from across the dinner table, huffing when I gushed to my mom about the boy I had met.

Oh, his name is Jason. He is so sweet to me, and always knows how to sweep me off my feet, literally. The day we had met was one I shall never forget. I was not looking where I was going and bumped into him, thinking he was just a wall. He was so tall. Haha, but he helped me up and our eyes met and it suddenly felt like Romeo and Juliet. Just the lock of our eyes, gazing into his ocean blue ones made me weak in the knees.

Two days later we bumped into each other again, and he asked me out. I was squealing by the time I got home, and Mother was looking at me like I had six heads. You-know-who just rolled his eyes, and by the look in his eyes he knew who I was talking about. He warned me about how I'll just get hurt in the end, but I just brushed of the nonsense that flew from his mouth. What did he know? He doesn't know Jason like I do. Sure I might have left out how Jason was two years older than me, but age is but a number right?

After that he just stomped up stairs and slammed his door like a brat. How could he be older than me when he acts like such an 11 year old?

           Love,

                 Lily

I closed the book and let out a shaky breath. A chuckled escaped my lips at Lily's thoughts, the mind of a teenager. I was once one myself, but I sure wasn't that naive.

I frowned though at her mentioning the boy. The thought of the name sent shivers down my spine, even though it was 80 degrees outside and it was summer. You're okay Soph, you're gone far far away from him.

I made up my mind to not jump to conclusions on anything to do with that name, thinking it was just a mere coincidence.

I put the journal down on a little table next to my lemonade, and sat back on the bench, rocking back and forth. I closed my eyes and sighed as another summer breeze blew by, blowing my bangs in my eyes. I chuckled to myself, and moved them out of the way,

I opened my eyes, and was met with Rosie walking up the porch steps and sitting next to me with a groan." What's wrong?" I asked with a small smile playing on my lips. Rosie smiled bitterly back at me, and rolled her eyes," My daughter is what's the problem. She refuses going to visit her uncle Josh for the weekend because she wants to stay here because of somebody." Her eyes met mine, and they glared at me with annoyance.

I raised my hands up in offense," Why are you looking at me like that?" I whined, wanting to know why I was getting pinned for Lexy's behavior." She wants to stay here because of you."

My eyebrows perked up, and a smirk grew on my face. Rosie started shaking her head slowly at me," Don't start getting all cocky with me missy, this isn't really a good thing I have you know." She said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"But its nice to know I'm loved." I said sarcastically, highly amused at Rosie's state." I came here for you to talk some sense into her, not grow an ego!" She complained, smacking me on the shoulder. I pouted playfully and nudged her back.

That turned into a nudging and smacking war, and soon we were laughing at each other as our arms grew red from all the hits.

"Okay, okay! My arm hurts!" Rosie said in between laughs. Our laughs soon died down, and we were just sitting back on the bench with smiles on our faces.

"I don't know why I didn't notice before, but where did you get this?" She asked, bouncing on the swing making it move side to side instead. I stopped it from swinging," Harry told me to get it because my porch looked boring." I shrugged. A smile rose on Rosie's face, and I'm sure the wider her smile would get it would eventually fall off.

"Ah, bringing back to last Friday, you like him!!" She giggled, as I nervously shifted on the seat." N-No Rosie, like I said we're just friends!" Sadly.

She shook her head, and tsked me," Nope, you like him. C'mon I see the way you look at him! And at the pub you looked like you wanted to rip that bartenders head off!" My thoughts went back to that Friday where I finally admitted to myself how jealous I was. I unconsciously clenched my fists at the thought of the girl leaning over the bar more to get closer to Harry.

"See! You're even seething at the thought of that girl!" Rosie standing, knocking me out of my raging thoughts. I looked down at my hands that were curled up into fists, and opened them to see I had actually dug into my skin.

I sighed," Fine but you can't te-" I was cut off by her squealing and bouncing on the swing again making it rock all over the place." Rosie! You can't tell anyone, promise?"

"Promise!" She squealed and nodded. She giggled and gripped my shoulders with her hands, still bouncing." Oh I can't wait till you two finally get together! You already went on a date right?" I nodded, which added on to her squealing.

"Well, I don't know if it was a date- or to him if it was one at least." I said doubtingly. Rosie's squealing stopped, and she frowned.

"Don't think like that Soph!"

I couldn't help it! Maybe he was just being nice, especially since I was new here. I voiced my thoughts. She scoffed, crossing her arms." I know for a fact that Harry wasn't just being nice to you, the way he looks at you is more than friendly."

I raised an eyebrow at her, not realizing that Harry even looked at me in any way at all. And he did say that he would love to go on another date again....

"Holy shit! Why am I so stupid?- No don't answer that, I know why." I blabbered, wanting to smack myself at how stupid I really am.

"What?" Rosie asked, her eyebrows narrowed in confusion.

"He said he wanted to go out again, as in a date.." I said slowly, hoping she'd understand. Her eyes widened, and she once again started squealing," I told you so! I told you so!" She repeated, making me shake my head and laugh.

"Okay, okay you were right- I was wrong- we all know how naive I am now." I said rolling my eyes with a smile playing on my lips.

She then started rambling about how many dates we'd go on and soon I'd end up being his girlfriend. I soon accidentally tuned her out, my thoughts flooding with the green-eyed, curly haired boy. How he'd always push his hair back in a bandana, and you'd be able to see his piercing green eyes that sent chills down my spine whenever our eyes met. His angelic laugh, always music to my ears. His raspy voice, and his his voice so passionate when singing, making me want to hear him sing more.

Yeah, I really liked Harry.

Okay, I might not be updating for a while because I have regents exams, and actual exams coming up. So I just wanted to say thank you to the people who do like my writing and that there'll surely be more in the future. And yeah thats pretty much it!

Thank you,
