--------------------------------------------------------------------

I have made it for my awakening.

It feels as if I have woken up from a dream, or a bad nightmare to be honest. My body feels warmer than before, and the pounding in my back and head has stopped. An unimaginable electric jolt runs through me, the one that makes me want to wander all over the place. I open my eyes, and can't help but enjoy the power taking me over.

The rays of sunshine are so much brighter. A white golden aura is flying around me and I just sit straight taking in the cool breeze coming from the window.

There isn't a single sound inside the house. Liam usually comes and opens the curtains to wake me up annoyingly. When I look down at my body, I feel my skin sweaty and sticky.

"Ugh." I grump when I find myself still trapped inside Delilah's dress. My skin is covered with brown patches and there are a few leaves that are still stuck in my hair. I better send it dry-cleaning otherwise I'll watch my funeral again.

Without bothering to walk around the house searching for him, I grab the first floral dress my eyes lay onto, and head to the bathroom. Once I strip and stand inside the tub, I close my eyes smiling. The pain and the itch are long gone. There is nothing but pure thrill scampering through me. I rotate the faucet to the right since hot water won't do me any good and I'm already feeling the burn inside enough.

The water slides down washing the filth from my face, my hair and my skin. It's cleansing the memories of last night with every drop.

Last night.

It feels so long ago, my mind is finding it hard to process everything. Delilah came to my house, talked me into escorting her to the masquerade and I borrowed her white dress, which seems not so white anymore.

I danced with Max and Sam there. Then I saw a figure that has been watching me all night, wearing a black mask.

Alex.

My legs shake when my mind catches a glimpse of his appearance last night and I hold onto the wall to prevent any falling accident. He is back and he threatened me. Max was his victim and he almost killed himself because of Alex's probing powers.

He asked me to leave Heaven Bridge. But why? Why would he want me to escape my hometown? And how did he find me?

I don't want to think of him. I don't want to be that broken white winged girl who always obeys this dark selfish creature.

Scraping the soap onto the skin of my knee, I feel like wiping off his lingering touches. And now that I think of the rebirthing, it's all so vague. Let's see. Liam didn't come at the right time. I squint my eyes in focus and see images of myself running through the woods. I couldn't hold my screams down, so someone must have heard me. Someone did. In the midst of my painful memories, I see his face.

His black eyes pierced into mine as if I was an alien, as if the only task he has to do is to get away from me. I can't quite discern if it is a dream or he actually saw me. The blood trickling down my eyes blurred my vision and eventually I collapsed. The only way I could have came here is through Liam. He must have finally picked me up.

Taking a deep breath that ought to calm me down, I shut the water off and step outside the tub. After blow-drying my hair and wearing my clothes, I make my way downstairs eventually.
