As I have noticed, a lot of the readers of White Masquerade do not know about Black Veil, which is the sequel of White Masquerade. So here's the prologue, and you can find the book on my profile, my work.

Please read, vote and comment, because this is not the end of Jules Moon. :)

She looked beautiful.

Stunning light blond hair fell over her shoulders in smooth waves. Her skin looked pale under the moonlight. Her curves were perfectly covered by her revealing nightgown.

She wasn’t wearing any lingerie underneath that damn nightdress.

I felt my jeans tighten around me as I cursed and turned around. I shouldn’t be standing in the middle of the night on the roof of a building, only to spy on my long lost mission.

After I have finally found her, I couldn’t make a daring move and meet her.

I was the cause of her transformation. And I was the cause of her pain every month.

If I could take her ache and switch my painless months with hers, I wouldn’t consider it twice. But it was already late. I have failed to save her for I was caught up in my own powers as a white winger that I forgot her existence.

My own selfish deeds have gotten me in the situation I was stuck in at that moment.

I moved my head to the side refusing to watch her anymore. She had her life and her own mission to save.

Stop being such a wimp, she’s a white winger and it’s too late now. Go enjoy your painless months and your endless powers without whining over a girl, the devil on my left shoulder said, irritated by the war waging inside my head.

He’s not being a wimp. He’s only bearing the consequences of his bad choices, the angel on my right defended me.

And what will that change? Will it change the fact that she already died? That has happened and he should move on, the devil smirked wickedly.

Maybe this will give him the chance to turn back into a white winger. -Angel.

You and I both know this is impossible. –Devil.

Nothing is impossible when it comes to redemption. –Angel.

I groaned and turned around to leave, sick of everything happening in my head. I was going crazy. Was that even a side effect for having dark wings? Maybe it was.

I began to walk towards the other side of the ledge only to be stopped by someone. I lifted my eyes to see his face, but I was baffled for I didn’t know the man, but he seemed to know me.

“Hello Alexander.” He said in a hypnotizing voice that almost weakened me.

He’s a black winger. I could sense his powers radiating in a dark aura around him.

“Who the hell are you?” I asked him confused.

“Your biggest fan.” He smirked and folded his arms. “She’s a beauty isn’t she?” He tilted his head to the window where Jules was getting ready to sleep.

I only frowned. I was confused and a little bit worried about the identity of that stranger.

“Hayden Mathew.” He finally introduced himself and extended his hand to shake mine.

“I would introduce myself but you already know me.” I said aggravated by the fact that I have been watched. Or stalked for all I knew.

“I won’t deny that. I have been watching you for quite a while, but trust me it’s for your own good.” He didn’t break his eye contact ever since we started the conversation.

“Would you care to enlighten me?” I sighed and folded my arms as well.

“I would love to. But you should know that you have to drop your morals and leave everything behind if you want to live happily.”

“I don’t even know you. Why the hell would I trust you?”

“Because every cell in your brain is telling you to.”

He stared into my eyes piercing through my soul. He had the authoritative voice of a leader and the posture of a soldier that it was hard to say no.

I swallowed and took a step back letting my guard up.

Do it. The devil clapped his hands letting his horns emit a red light.

How would you trust a total stranger? The angel scolded me.

I shooed off the angel on my right and nodded in agreement. If what this man offered me was reasonable and would help me get over my agony in any way, I would go with him.

If not, I would simply decline his offer and continue my journey around the world on my own, or living in the Jules’s shadow.

“Where are we even going?” She asks me as she stares outside the window.

“Leave that for me to worry about.” I say and turn the car in the direction I’m not supposed take if I want to avoid getting caught and beheaded.
