36 - one happy family

Bryce's POV

I sighed, leaving the doctor. He was telling me to let Mikey go, like he has since Mikey was a week in coma. I opened the door to hear both Lyon and Lucia, talking and talking.

"One at a time," I froze hearing the voice I haven't heard in ages. Mikey's voice. 

I looked at the three one the bed. Lyon holding Lucia between his small legs, while they were sitting at the edge of the bed beside Mikey. I smiled, telling a nurse walking past. She smiled, telling me that she will notify Mikey's nurse. I then came into view of my kids and boyfriend. 

"Papa!" Lucia yelled, making Mikey and Lyon look at me. I smiled sitting beside the kids. Lucia crawled away from Lucia and onto my lap. 

"Hey sleeping beauty," I smirked at Mikey, who rolled his eyes at me before a nurse came in. She smiled taking a pin board with Mikey's past information. 

"Hello Mr. Barone, how are you feeling?" She asked, as she got ready to write. 

"Weak, but I feel fine," Mikey replied, she nodded, then wrote it down. She came over to check Mikey's appearance. 

"Mr. Barone, you seem perfectly fine, you must have a guardian angel above," She smiled brightly and Mikey nodded, with a hum. 

"I have four," He corrected her with a grin. 

"Oh, well thats better for you then," she grinned widely. "Well you will have to remain here until your strength grows a little more than it is now, but then you can leave at your own will," she smiled, then leaving the room. I looked back at Mikey, who was smiling. 

"Four guardian angles?" Lyon asked Mikey confused. Both Mikey and I laughed a little at how Lyon said angles instead of angels. 

"Angels, not angles," I told Lyon, he nodded looking at Mikey. 

"Who are they daddy?" He asked Mikey, who smiled and looked at me. A tear building uo in hus eye. 

"My mom, dad, Grace and Kana," I looked at him, shocked a little. 

"Did you talk to them?" I asked in a whisper. He nodded as Lucia and Lyon's head looked between me and Mikey.

"They were happy to see me, but they didn't want me to stay," Mikey told me, I just remained looking at him. Lyon and Lucia were confused but kept looking at Mikey. 

"Before I woke up, Kana told me if she sees me, or you for that matter, again, she'll come back and haunt us," Mikey told me. A chuckle escaped from my lips, as a smirk grew on my face. 

"That's our Kana," Mikey hummed with a smile in agreement.

One week has past, and Mikey is finally coming home. I left Lyon and Lucia at home with Linden and Raegan to watch them while I collected Mikey. He still was weak, so I held his hand walking out of the hospital. He wanted to walk by himself, but didn't put up a fight when I asked if I could hold his hand. 

Since the hospital wasn't far from our apartment, I walked there. Mikey was thankful because he wanted to see the sun and hear the birds again. 

"It feels so good to be outside again," Mikey smiled closing his eyes as we walked down the pathway. I smiled at him.

"Well you were in acoma for over a month, so I guess it is good to be outside,"  Mikey looked at me with a grin, but he froze in his steps, the grin leaving his face. 

"Mikey, whats wrong?" I asked worriedly. 

"I just remembered, if I had died, I wouldn't have told you that I loved you." Mikey told me, with a sad expression. I smiled, letting go of his hand, putting my hands on Mikey's cheeks, making him look me in the eyes. 

"I know you love me Mikey, even if you did die, I would still know that," I told him, a small smile came onto his lips. 

"I'm happy I woke up," He said softly. I rested my head on his forehead. 

"I am happy you woke up too," I whispered, pulling him in for a hug. He chuckled, pulling away and holding my face in his hands. 

"You can do better than that Bryce," he told me with a smirk. A huge grin grew on my face, closing the space between us, our lips attached. Since Mikey woke up, I haven't kissed him because either the kids were with us, or our friends, so this is our first official kiss since he woke up. I thank god that barely anyone was walking on the pathway, because if someone ruined this moment, I would've punched them. 

"Oh I am so glad I woke up," Mikey laughed when I pulled away with a massive smile on my lips. I rolled my eyes, putting an arm around Mikey's shoulder. 

"Lets go home," I told my boyfriend, who nodded with a massive grin. On the way home, some of the local people welcomed Mikey back home. He smiled brightly. 

I unlocked the door, to have Lyon and Lucia run towards us, attacking us in hugs. 

"Be careful Luce, daddy is still weak," Mikey told her, she nodded with a smile but still hugged Mikey. I held both Lyon and Lucia's hands as we walked into the kitchen to see everyone. This also happens to be the first time we've all been together since Mikey was a week into his acoma. 

I smiled as Mikey sat beside Linden, the room was suddenly full of voices either catching up, or talking about something they did yesterday. I stared into space with a smile. 

If someone told me a year ago that I would be dating Mikey and have two beautiful kids, I would've laughed and went on as my normal fuckboy ways. But Mikey helped me and he thought be how to love for more that one human being at a time. He gave me both Lyon and Lucia, he made me happy even though I didn't know I was unhappy until we began dating. 

But I am so thankful to be surrounded by these amazing people, and be in a relationship with some as incredible as Mikey, with two beautiful kids like Lyon and Lucia. 

"Bryce, are you okay?" Mikey asked with a smile, waving a hand in front of my face. Lyon and Lucia were looking up at me, Mikey was now sitting beside me. I smiled and nodded, picking up both Lyon and Lucia. 

"Yeah, I'm just happy," I told Mikey, who smiled, and leaned into my face. 

"That's a good thing baby," he told me, pecking my lips with his. Both Lyon and Lucia giggled at us kissing while Linden, Jackson and Justin cheered for us, just like the first time we kissed.
