Linden's POV

I walked down the path towards Kana's favourite place to go. The trees towered over me, as I had my hands in my pockets, and earphones in listening to her favourite song, Sweater Weather.

The flowers came into view, along with the grass and the horizon of the ocean. I sat down, cross legged staring at the calm ocean ahead of me. The earth around me was still, quiet, and unbearable.

For my friends, I put up a barrier of hope and fake happiness, when I am literally broken inside. Actually, I am shattered inside. I don't think I can be fixed.

I miss Kana so much, I don't think I will every get over her and that horrific death.

People around me have no clue how much I am hurting inside. Not even Raegan knows, and he is my twin brother.

They think I am healing because Lyon came into this world, but I'm not. Yes, I do love Lyon because he is apart of Kana, he is her decedent, I can never hate him for his mother's choice in saving him, but I can hate myself for believing someone like Kana would cheat on their loved ones.

The world around me seemed so silent when she's not beside me.

My life seems so empty not seeing her smile, seeing her beautiful face, hearing her voice, touching her, holding her, hugging her, kissing her, or even being in the same room as her.

My world collapsed, and is continuing to collapse around me because Kana is not here helping me chose my life choices, ones I wanted to make with her.

I know you're all thinking that I am pathetic or cliche, but its the truth.

My miserable life got a whole lot better with her in it. All my friends were happy when they would see Kana, everyone smiled at her, everyone loved her.

She didn't only make my life better, she made everyone's life better.

She helped all of us so much, but Kana had to be repaid with death. She deserved so much more than what she got.

One thing is for certain, the world will be come an ugly place without her smile.

I got up, began to walk away, but I froze when I felt something. I turned around, clueless of what touched me. I looked around to see nothing. I sighed, beginning to leave the place I used to love, well when I was with Kana.

I stopped in front of Kana's house. Her parents moved out, leaving the house abandoned, not even bothering to sell it. I slowly made my way up to the house, opening the white front door.

The house didn't seem like someone could've lived in it for a week, let alone 18 years. I walked up the stairs and to Kana's room. Her bedroom, it seemed like a home. It was the exact same. I guess her parents just forgot about her cause their that fucked up.

I sat down on her perfectly made bed, looking at the walls, and to the bed when I noticed a picture of us. It was the day I asked her to be my girlfriend and like the fabulous friend Tyler is, he captured the moment that changed my life completely.

"Why did you leave me Kana?" I whispered as tears rolled down to the bottom of my chin, falling onto my hand.

Silence was the only sound I could hear, but I felt a presence. A presence I loved to be around before. I stared at the space beside me when I heard a voice.

"Linden." I looked up to the wall in front of me. But this time I could see a faint shadow, who was smiling. I stood up when I noticed the face.

"Kana," Tears filled my eyes as I slowly fell to the ground. Kana smiled, kneeling down in front of me.

"It's me baby." Those words caused all the tears fall down my cheeks as Kana put her hand on my cheek. I knew I couldn't touch her, but I could feel her hand on my cheek.

"B-but, you're gone," I whispered as Kana smiled, nodding.

"I know Lynn, but I just had to come and talk to you," Kana's smile didn't come off her face, but I did notice tears filling her eyes.

"Linden, you are a special person, you have to proceed on with life, I know how you felt when I left, I know you wanted to end your own life, but that's not the path your life is going to take," She said seriously. She still had her hand on my face though.

"I know what your life holds Linden, and it is great," She whispered the last part with a smile.

"You alone will change the world, you will make everyone feel happy, but most importantly, you will be happy," Kana's smile grew bigger.

"You will literally change Mikey's, Bryce's, Justin's, Tyler's, Jackson's, Dylan's and Lyon's life. You will be their light," She whispered, almost not wanting to say it.

"You have to move on." My body froze, looking at her.

"I can't do that Kana!" I cried loudly.

"Linden, you have to," She paused, taking her hand from my cheek. "There is a girl waiting for you, and as mush as I want it to be me, it's not." She stood up, leaving me on the ground by myself.

"Kana-"

"No, she is perfect, she is the person who can give you what I could never give you," She smiled, not moving.

"But, you are the love of my life." I told her, sniffling. Kana smiled and shook her head.

"What we had was great, amazing and once in a life time, but it wasn't your last love Linden, the girl waiting for you, she's incredible, she will be the love of your life," Kana said with a smile. I stood up, alone in pain.

"I w-want y-you," I sobbed and Kana put her hand back onto my cheek.

"You will always have me," She whispered. "But I have to rest in peace," Kana smiled brightly at me.

"I wanted to tell you this before you cannot contact my spirit again," She informed me, while she began to fade away.

"Kana! No!" I screamed, trying to catch onto her.

"Linden, open your heart, and new opportunities will come to you, but keep me there." She smiled, putting her other hand on my cheek, holding my face in her hands.

"And remember, I will forever love you," She was disappearing so fast, I just tried to grab onto her. But what surprised me was that I could. I held her face in my hands while she smiled.

"Kana, no matter what you say, you will be the love of my life." I told her stubbornly as I rested my forehead against her glimmering statue.

"You're still as stubborn as ever," She chuckled, closing her eyes.

"No wonder where Lyon will get it," I looked at her, to see that she was now looking at me.

"I love you Linden." She smiled, still holding my face.

"I love you Kana," and just like that, her whole body faded into a pile of glimmer, falling around me. I fell to my knees, with tears running down my cheeks.

"Rest in peace my princess."
