CHAPTER ONE : SHAWNS POV
"Beep! Beep!" My alarm clock went off suddenly. "Ughhhhhhh!" I slammed my fist onto it. "I'm already missing summer" I said to myself.
"Summer isn't over until September 21st idiot. Get it right!" My older sister Alicia screamed from the hallway. "Alicia! I thought I told you not to listen to my conversations!! Geez!" I mumbled with exhaustion. She growled at me with anger, and than finally walked away.
I got up with not a lot of motivation. School sucks... Hello homework, goodbye staying up late and playing football on the beach. At least my friends will be in my class, Jeremy, dan, and Jack. Were all on the same football team. That's how we met.
WOAH! I just waisted 5 minutes looking at the floor! I better get ready!
I stripped off my clothes and than got clean ones on. Than I rushed down stairs. "Mom! Do you have my lunch ready???" I hollered. "Yes! And you don't need to yell Shawn! I'm right here." She said laughing. "Sorry! I'm just really stressed ! I swear, school makes me unhappy..." I explained. "Oh Shawn! Your over thinking it all! Your with your friends, and you have weekends off!!" She said, looking on the bright side. "Whatever." I snatched my lunch and shoved it in my bag with anger.
"Kay! I'm leaving ! Are you coming, Alicia?" I asked. "Yes! Just go! I'll be right out." Alicia yelled back at me in the same tone as I did to her.
I had no hesitation to leave without her. I could care less if she missed the bus. She prefers to be "fashionably late."
I walked outside & waited for the bus to come. I'm pretty sure I'll be 20 minutes late for school because my bus driver is always going 0.001 kilometres an hour. Since to a new year, hopefully he will be on task.
"Ouch. Shawn, can you help me with this bag!" Alicia came limping out of the house with about 4 bags in her hand. I looked at her for a few minutes laughing to myself. "Girls" I rolled my eyes & ran over to her.
"What's even in these things?!" My eyes opened wide. "Gym bag, makeup bag, extra socks & tee shirts bag, and school bag." She took a huge breath out.
"Maybe you should hold off on the different bags." I looked her in the eyes. This time I was being serious. Sometimes I just joke around with her but I was completely serious. Someday she's gonna die from all of the weight collapsing on her in the morning sunset.
I jumped back in to reality. "So, you have any advice for me about high school?" I asked Alicia. "Don't be annoying." She answered being 100% honest. "Ugh, I'll just ask someone else."
I pulled out my phone & started to search the web for "good facts about entering high school". "Are you serious ?" Alicia laughed. "High school isn't like solving a puzzle, it's just a new grade. Your a dumb child." She punched me in the shoulder.
"Can you stop swearing at me Alicia. I'm sure you were scared the first day of school." I pouted. "I actually wasn't you punk. I met people at parties who went to this school so I already knew everyone." She bragged. "We'll I'm sorry, I'm not a wild partier like you, I actually work hard in life." I commented.
"Shut up!" Alicia grunted.
"Oh look it's the bus!" I changed the topic.
We suddenly stood in a straight line & walked onto the bus. I looked around at everyone & saw that nobody I knew was on the bus except for my sister! I shook with worry. Where am I going to sit??
"Sit right there, punk." My sister shoved me into a seat.
She galloped over it the back of the bus where all of the cool kids sat. I looked out the window with sadness.
