Chapter 11: Paranormal Activities
It's been about 3 weeks since I saw Amanda last, when I was hiding in her closet. Weird to think, eh?
It's a Saturday morning and I'm going to meet up with Mose today. Her leg is better now, but she still has a cast.
Hazel has been a loner for the past few weeks because she has no one to back her up after a rude comment. I hate people like that. They think they are so cool when they are with friends, but when they are alone, you see the real them.
Hazel tried to make friends with me, but I told her how upset she made me, so I just denied her.
Drake now has a girlfriend, who's actually not all that bad. She now hangs out with us, but then the two of them go all lovey dovey, and it ends up with me and Mose playing rock paper scissors over who has to get a new bag of ice for Moses leg.
"Shawn! Mozy is at the door for you." My mom called from the basement. I find it weird how she calls Mose "Mozy" because... We'll it's just weird.
I marched down the stairs and greeted Mose. "How's your leg?" I examined the green cast.
"it's okay. Can we go to your room?" Mose changed the subject. "Sure!" We raced upstairs.. We'll I did, she didn't because of her cast.
I sat on my bed and shut off my laptop.
Mose sat on my computer chair and played on her phone. "You know that Amanda and Jessica are coming back to our school on Monday, right?" Mose sighed.
"Oh. Ya. Amanda has a nice house." I smiled.
"What?"
"She has a nice house."
"......what?"
"Did I not tell you?"
"No!"
"I had a small visit at her house. She has a smelly coat closet though."
"What are your talking about? Did she like, invite you over??"
"No, I kinda invited myself."
Mose turned off her phone and threw it on my bed.
"Tell me more!!" She laughed.
"It's a long story." I looked around the room looking for something to help change the subject.
"Did you see that creepy house by the school yesterday?" I said.
"No. I didnt." Mose acted like she was really upset about me changing the subject.
"We should go!! C'mon! It will be fun." I grabbed her hand and dragged her downstairs.
"Be careful! I almost fell!" Mose muttered.

We finally arrived at the creepy house, and we just stared at all of the extra details that were showcased.
"Wow. It's so cool!" I was so interested.
"Ya... Let's go now!" Mose started walking away.
"C'mon! Your spoiling the fun! I'm sure you didn't even look at it!" I explained why she was such a party pooper.
"What fun? It's just a house with a few broken wood chips on the front deck. They are just normal people in the house! It's not creepy in any way." Mose ranted on.
"If you think it's so not scary, why don't you go inside!" I crossed my arms.
"...fine!" Mose acted like she wasn't scared of anything, racing up the front steps. I followed her.
The house creaked and cracked. No cars were in the driveway, so I expected nobody to be in there, except for us.
"This isn't even scary." Mose rolled her eyes.
"Keep walking!" I shoved her towards the basement door.
Mose slowly opened the door, and walked downstairs with fear. I could tell she was a bit frightened.
Suddenly, the door slammed behind us.
I gasped and ran up to the top of the stair case trying to open the door, but it was locked.... From the outside.
"Is it locked?!" Mose cried from the bottom of the staircase.
"Yeah! Someone locked us in! Do you have your phone??" I ran down to her.
"Yeah!" Mose pulled out her "Iphone 5" and called Drake.
"There's no service down here!... We have no choice but to kick the door open !" Mose ran up the stairs and kicked the door with her cast.
Nothing happened.
"Mose! That won't help us get out! We need something bigger!" I looked around and saw exactly what we needed.
A hammer.
"Here! Watch out!" I grabbed the hammer and hit it at the door a few times. We heard loud footsteps coming from upstairs, and we held each other like it was the last day of our lives.
Suddenly, a man appeared by the fridge downstairs. He had a blue T-shirt on and green skinny jeans. Me and Mose were frightened to death. Was he a ghost??
The man started to walk towards us, we screamed for help. I tried hammering the door open one more time, but the man got closer and closer.
"Help!! Someone!" Mose screamed.
The man was so close to us. He reached his hands out and all of the sudden, we saw large sparks fly across the room, and the lights went out.
It was pitch black...
And there was an old man...
Standing right beside us...
I heard his breath-
And I could feel his presents.
The door that led to the main floor slowly opened... Mose had no hesitation to run upstairs, and so did I.
"Shut the door!!" Mose screamed.
I stuck a wooden chair in front of the door nob and locked the man in.
Who was he?? Was he a ghost.. Or a real living person.
"Let's get out of here!" Mose charged out. I looked around the house, expecting at least one person to be standing somewhere near, but nobody was there. Who opened and closed that door?
I ran out of the house and walked home quickly with Mose.
By this time. It was around 7:00pm at night, and the sun started to lower itself from the sky.
"That was scary, eh?" Mose took a deep breath in.
"I thought you weren't scared of anything" I punched a joke at her.
"Look!" Mose pulled me into a bush pointing across the street.
"It's that man... The man in the basement!"
