Chapter 13

The plane ride was so exiting. I looked out the window once and almost puked. I squeezed Mason's hand to make me feel better. He was already asleep because he got in late last night. The waiters were having a poker match.  Of corse I slept fine. So I was wide awake and antsy. When I was little Mason and I had another friend. She moved out of the hotel 4 years after the maid died. I still had her phone number so I decided to call her. She pick up the phone on the second ring," hello." I was really jumpy," HI! Nicki it's me Molly." I could feel her excitement rise," Molly, I miss you so much." She is a year older than me. We both had a huge crush on Mason. I guess I was the lucky one. She spoke again," so, how's Mason." I paused," actually, he's right here." She stopped," really can I talk to him." I looked at Mason who was still asleep," he's actually asleep." " wake him up, I want to talk to him." Mason looked so peaceful," I'm not going to wake him."  "Please I haven't talked to him in a year, hold on where are you guys." I looked around I had almost forgot where we were," we're on a air plane, we are heading to Michigan." she paused,"Lower Michigan." "We are going to upper Michigan but we are stopping in the lower part, why." She squealed," I live in lower Michigan I can come see you guys." "Wake him up, he can sleep later." I looked over at him," Mason, wake up." He opened his eyes," who's on the phone." I handed him the phone," someone who wants to talk to you." He took the phone and said hello. I smiled I hoped she was happy. Then he said," Nikki. Yeah I miss you. After a long conversation between them catching up. He hung up. I smiled at him. "What," he questioned my grin. " guess who lives in the lower part of Michigan," I was still smiling really big. "Nikki."I opened my mouth," she told me she was going to come see us." My eyes gleamed. He frowned," are you sure your ok with that." " why wouldn't I be." He raised his eye brows," you know how big of a crush she had on me when we were little." I thought for a moment," she's probably gotten over by now, right."
