FIGHT NIGHT

EDDIE KASPBRAK'S MOTHER WAS INFURIATED, FOR GOODNESS SAKE, HER POOR LITTLE EDDIE WAS RUNNING THE DANGEROUS STREETS WITH A BUNCH OF HEATHENS. She would no longer tolerate the kind of behavior the kids her inoccent son was hanging out with. Especially those two awful slutty girls that slept with the older boys at Eddie's school. Mrs. Kaspbrak was disgusted as she flung her arms towards the seven other children, "You, you did this. You know how delicate he his."

His mother quickly snatched him up by the collar of his shirt and drug his body alongside of hers before she opened the door to her yellow car and furiously shoved her baby boy into the front seat. Eddie was so embarrassed about the way his mother was acting, but maybe she was right. The other kids were bad for him, but he loved them all so much.

"We were attached Mrs. K." Bill tried protesting against the fat women as she slammed the passenger car door and spun on her big thick heels. She was a very chunky women.

"No, don't. Don't try and blame someone else." Eddie's mother spit back causing her to drop her car keys at how angry and worried she was. Beverly reached down to help the women out, "Let me help."

"No! Back!" Mrs. K bashed as she leaned down yanking her car keys off the cement. His mother's brown eyes landed on Atticus and Beverly, "Oh I've heard of you, Miss Marsh and Miss Rose same goes for you. And I don't want dirty little girls like you two touching or going anywhere near my Eddie."

The comment caught Atticus by surprise, but the foul words went through her body and made her feel almost hollow. Eddie could hear his mothers harsh words from inside the car and he felt sick at how horrible she sounded. It made him despise her in a way A fake smile pushed onto Atticus's lips as she tried not to cry, she was so weak and pathetic it made awful terrible thoughts crawl into her mind and dig into her subconscious.

"Mrs. K. I-i—" Bill's stuttering was quickly interrupted by the fat women, "No. You all are monsters, all of you. And Eddie is done with you, you hear, done!"

She fast walked all the way to the drivers side of the vehicle, her bright pink sweatsuit flapping in the wind as her fat legs carried her. She hopped into the car and Atticus couldn't help, but stare at the crazy women's son. Eddie was sobbing and didn't dare to look at his friends as the two drove off into the direction of the nearest hospital.

The losers made their way into the middle of the street to watch the car disappear until they could no longer see it anymore. With one sharp turn, they could no longer catch sight of Mrs. Kaspbrak's car.

"I saw the well. W-w-w-we know where it is and next time we'll be better prepared." Bill reassured the other seven frightened losers that stood in front of him.

"NO! No next time, Bill. You're insane." Stanley spoke up and Atti frowned at his words. Was he going to bail on his friends when they needed him?

"Why? We all know nobody else is going to do anything." Bev counteracted to Stan's statement.

"Eddie was nearly killed and Atticus most likely has a concussion and look at this motherfucker—" Richie's arms extended in Ben's directions and he pointed down to his gashed open stomach, "—he's leaking hamburger helper."

"We can't pretend its going to go away. Ben you said it yourself, It comes back every twenty-seven years." Beverly argued and Atticus could feel a headache start to overwhelm her skull.

"Fine. I'll be forty and far far away from here. I thought you said you wanted to get out of this town, too." Ben said and Beverly shook her head, "Because I want to run towards something not away."

"I'm sorry, but who invited Molly Ringwald into the group?" Richie violently stated which received the middle finger from Beverly.

"Richie..." Stanley tested and Richie huffed, "I'm just saying let's face facts. Real world. Georgie is dead. Stop trying to get us killed too."

Atticus's head quickly shot up at Richie's words and Bill started to become irritated by his coward friends, "Georgie isn't dead."

"You couldn't save him, but you can still save yourself." Richie finally admitted and the blonde cringed at how the boy was acting.

"No. T-t-take it back. You're scared and we all are, but take it back." Bill suddenly planted his pale arms onto Richie's chest and shoved harshly. Richie wasn't going to let a stuttering idiotic boy push him around and tell him what to do. The boy with glasses quickly shoved back with force, resulting in a fight to break out. Atticus grew tired and anger from all the bickering and fighting. She was starting to feel very tired all of a sudden.

"EVERYONE STOP—" the two fighting boys were ripped apart and everyone looked towards Atticus's direction, "It's going to keep playing tricks on us, seeing those illusions. It's trying to make us fear him and is toying with our minds. He won't stop until we all are dead, maybe not anytime soon, but he comes every twenty-seven years. I don't want this to happen to another innocent girl like Josie. The fallout is coming and we need to be prepared."

The fragments of her speech were placed together comfortably well and settled onto the others like a thick blanket as they took in her words.

"So stop being cowards and we can still make it out alive." Atticus said as she rubbed her temples and Richie brushed passed her with a glare, "Yeah well I plan to keep it that way."

Richie didn't even turn back to look at the golden-haired girl, just hopping on his bicycle and riding off. Ben, Stanley, and Mike had followed him as they rode away out of Atticus's sight. Richie didn't mind leaving the girl behind, it was best for him anyways. Over the short amount of time from when he first encountered her on the bridge with Henry to that very moment, he was quite certain that he was in love with her. He didn't know how it happened or when it happened, but he was indeed falling for the girl. That wasn't a bad thing, but at the same time it wasn't a good thing. He didn't want to be in love with her because he knew she wouldn't love him back, but he was wrong. She did love him.

"Guys. I don't feel too hot." Atticus mumbled as her body became heavier and she found it to hard to stand upright. As she fell, her glossy eyes took one last glance into the blue and cloudy sky and she closed her eyes. Her body was collided with the floor and yet again she had smacked her head against the cement. Her mind was elsewhere as Bill and Beverly ran to the unconscious girl. Little did they know, she had busted the back of her skull open earlier from the fall. They needed to get her home to Jason, he would know what to do.
