Mikey laid on the ground with the retro mutagen all over him. Everyone waited for something to happen. They waited for seeing the mutant turn into a normal turtle. But it seemed like the liquid had no effect on Mikey.

Tiger claw:"How- he is supposed to be a normal turtle right now!"

Mikey:"Huh?"(takes a look on himself)"Holy chalupa! How can I still be a mutant?!"

Rahzar:"Arg! I don't care! You will be my lunch!"(go to attack)

Raph:"Not as long as I'm here!"(attacks as well)

They fight a bit before Mikey throw a smoke bomb and the turtles escaped.

Leo:"Donnie, how was that possible?"

Donnie:"Well, the reason is simple. How am I supposed to know?! Everything I know is that of some reason I don't know the retro mutagen had no effect on Mikey, it didn't turn him back to a normal turtle."

Raph:"Maybe it's just because their retro mutagen sucks."

Donnie:"Maybe, but Mikey, can you come to my lab later? I want to make a few tests."

Mikey:"Um, okay."

Later in Donnie's lab, Donnie had taken a few drops of Mikey's blood and was now analyzing it.

Donnie:"Impossible..."

Rarity:"What is it, D?

Donnie:"It's Mikey's blood. I took a look at the molecules and what I found, it just doesn't make sense."

Rarity:"Why?"

Donnie showed Rarity two pictures.

Donnie:"You see this picture? It's molecules from a creature that have been mutated by mutagen. On the other picture it's molecules from a creature that is normal. What's doesn't make sense is that the molecules from Mikey's blood belongs to a normal creature."

Rarity:"But he's a mutant."

Donnie:"That's why it doesn't make sense. Hm, I will take a look at my own blood."

Donnie took a needle and sticked himself in the finger. He then let a drop of blood fall down on a bit paper and looked at it in the microscope.

Rarity:"Well?"

Donnie:"This is confusing. I'll be right back."

Donnie walked into the living room.

Leo:"Did you found the answer you was looking for?"

Donnie:"Not yet. I have to do one more test."

Mikey:"You don't get more of my blood!"

Donnie:"Don't worry, I just need a few drops from Leo and Raph."

That got Leo and Raph to switch confused looks.

Later everyone was in Donnie's lab.

Donnie:"So I have made some tests, heh, really confusing if you ask me. I actually got a bit shocked."

Mikey:"As they say in Sweden, stop walking as the cat around hot porridge! Just tell us what you found out!"

Donnie:"I seems like Mikey is the only one of us who isn't biologically related to the rest of us."

When Donnie said that everyone went silent. They tried to take in what Donnie just said. Their baby brother/friend wasn't related to the rest of the turtles...

Applejack:"Was it anything more?"

Donnie:"Um, well it seems like the reason why the retro mutagen had no effect on him is because he have never been mutated..."

Leo:"Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

Donnie just nodded. Now when it was said out loud, it suddenly felt more like real.

Mikey:"Wait! I'm not even a mutant!?"

Donnie:"...yes...it seems so..."
