How far I'll go

The next day Leo was meditating in the dojo trying to clean his mind from what happened last night, but so far no luck. Then Twilight entered the dojo.

Twilight:"Leo, is everything alright?"

Leo:"Huh? Eh, yes, everything is fine."

Twilight:(raises a eyebrow)"Leo. I can tell by you face that you're lying. It's obvious that you didn't get much sleep last night, and the only time you have that face while meditating is when something's bothering you."

Leo:*sign*"Seriously, I know me too well."

Twilight:(sits down next to Leo)"Is it anything I can help you with?"

Leo:"I don't think so. I'm just a bit worried about Mikey, he had a nightmare last night."

Twilight:"But that's nothing to be worried about, Leo. Everyone gets nightmares sometimes. It's not dangerous."

Leo:"But what about... when the nightmare is more like a memory?"

Twilight:"Well, sometimes dreams feels like reliving a memory, but usually it's nothing. It just make nightmares a bit more scary."

Leo:"Aha..."

Twilight:"Leo, I know you want to protect your younger brothers, but this time I don't think there is anything to protect them from."

Leo:"You're probably right. Thanks."(smiles a bit)

Twilight:"Anything for my Hero in blue."(kisses his cheek)

Leo:*giggles*"Silly Twilight, you know I don't let you go until I get more than just a kiss on the cheek."(smirk)

Twilight:"Yes, but I hope you can make an exception just for today. Please, I'm late for school."

Leo:"You owe me a make out scene later. Now hurry before I change my mind."

Twilight nodded and left the dojo. Then Master Splinter entered.

Splinter:"What was it about dreams and nightmares?"

Leo told Splinter about Mikey's nightmares last night and that it had felt like it was a memory for the little turtle with freckles.

Leo:"First I didn't think it was something, but then I saw one of my own memories. We was two or three years old but it seemed like we met Mikey for the first time. I just can't get it to make sense."

Splinter:[How- he's not supposed to remember that!]"I see, um, I will meditate for a while now. But Leonardo, do yourself a favor and don't make a hen out of a feather."

Leo:"Hai, Sensei."[He's hiding something, I can feel it]

Later it was time for patrol and the guys left. Master Splinter looked at them as they disappeared, he looked at Mikey, the boy he didn't know as much about as he would wish. Splinter left out a sign. He knew he would soon need to tell his son the true, and to be honest he should have done it a long time ago. Those reasons he hadn't told him yet was just cowardly excuses, and for that he felt guilty.
As the turtles patrolled at the seacoast, Mikey got distracted by the ocean. He couldn't help it but as long as he could remember he had felt like he had some kind of special bond to the water. It was like the water had a hole history to tell him. Like it was a part of who he was. Like he and the water own each other. And the sea, it was something beyond the sea that was calling out for him. Wanting him to find it, whatever it was. Like it was a place out there where he belong.

Raph:"Mikey, what are you looking at?"

Mikey:"Huh? Oh! Eh..."

Donnie:"It's the sea right? It sure looks beautiful with the moonlight reflecting on the water."

Mikey:"Yeah..."

Raph:"But if you love it so much, why don't you marry it?"

Mikey:"I'm not in love with the ocean!"

Leo:"Of course not, Raph's just messing with you. But what is it with the water that steals your attention?"

Mikey:"...I...don't know..."

When he said that music begin to play and Mikey started to sing.

As Mikey finished his song he giggled and sat down and looked back at the ocean.

Leo:"Mikey, are you okay?"

Mikey:(smiles a little)"Yes, I think so."

???:"None of you will be after I'm done with you!"

The turtles turned around and saw none other then Tiger claw, Rahzar and Fish face.

Leo:"We'll see about that. Is it the usual fight or do you have a new trick in mind?"(takes out his katana)

Fish face:"I'm glad you asked."

Fish face picked up a tank with an orange liquid. Retro mutagen. Before the turtles could react he threw it right at Mikey who fell to the ground with retro mutagen all over him.

Leo/Raph/Donnie:"Mikey!!!"
