Secrets of Mikey's past (on hold)

Everything's gonna be fine

Later when it was time to get prepared for bed Mikey sat in the living room, looking a bit sad. Donnie noticed him and sat down next to him.

Donnie:"Hey, how is it, Mikey?"

Mikey:"Just thinking..."

Donnie:"Oh, how does that feel?"(smiles)

Mikey:(glares at Donnie)

Donnie:"Sorry. What was you thinking at?"

Mikey:"Just, my real parents send me here when I was just two years old. I don't even remember how they look like. I don't know who my own parents were. Or why they send me away in the first place..."

Right then Raph entered the room.

Raph:"That subject again?"

Mikey:"Yeah..."

Raph:"But who cares if we're not biologically related? You're still a part of the family."

Mikey:"You don't understand..."

Donnie:(hugs Mikey to comfort him)"Just so you know it, Raph. Mikey gets a bit upset when he thinks about who his parents was, and why they sent him away. How would you feel if you had no idea where you was born, who your parents was or why they sent you away?! I think you would feel pretty upset too!"

Raph:"But no one can give him any answers, and thinking about it twenty four seven will not change the fact that it is that way and you can't do anything about it!"

???:"What's going on? Why is Mikey so upset?"

Donnie:"He though about who his parents was."(glares at Raph)"Which you can understand makes him a bit sad."

Mikey:"Don't worry, Leo. I'm fine."

Leo saw directly that Mikey was lying. Their baby brother was not fine. And when Mikey was sad, it automatically made him sad too.
He sat down on the other side of Mikey and rubbed his back.

Leo:"Please, Otōto. It feels better when you have let it out. Come on, no one will laugh at you, we're here to listen."

Mikey:"...I just... I can't shake the feeling of me that, maybe my parents sent me to New York because... because they simply didn't want me..."

Donnie:"Mikey, I'm sure that's not true."

Leo:"Yeah, Splinter said that the turtle gave you to him because your dad wanted you to be safe."

Mikey:"Safe from what?"

Raph:"Who knows? But, Mikey, you're an awesome boy who can make everyone around you smile. You have always been that way, and no one should sent that kind of kid away if it wasn't for the best for the kid."

Leo:"Most of the parents who set out their children for adoption do it because they can't take care of them but still want them to have a good life. And who knows, maybe your parents are still alive and tries to find their baby boy."

As he said that, music begin to play and the brothers started to sing.

Leo:"Maybe far away
Or maybe real nearby
He maybe pouring her coffee
She maybe straightening his tie
Maybe in a house"

Donnie:"All hidden by a hill
She's sitting playing piano
He's sitting paying a bill

Betcha they're young
Betcha they're smart"

Mikey:"Bet they collect things
Like ashtrays and art"

Raph:"Betcha they're good
Why shouldn't they be?"

Mikey:"Their one mistake
Was giving up me"

Leo:"So maybe now it's time
And maybe when you wake"

Donnie:"They'll be there calling you baby
Maybe"

Raph:"Betcha he reads
Betcha she sews"

Leo:"Maybe she's made you a closet of clothes"

Donnie:"Maybe they're strict
As straight is a line"

Mikey:"Don't really care
As long as they're mine"

Leo:"So maybe now this prayers
The last one of it's kind
Won't you please come get your baby"

Leo/Donnie/Raph:"Won't you please come get your baby
Maybe."

As they finished the song Mikey looked at his adoptive brothers.

Mikey:"Do you really think my parents can be alive and want me back?"

Donnie:" We don't know, Mikey, but if they are, I'm sure they want you back."(smiles)

Leo:"Even if they are or not, I promise you, Mikey, we're all here for you, and everything's gonna be fine. And I'm sure your parents loved you."(smiles at Mikey)"But now I think you should go to sleep."

Mikey:*yawns*"Yeah, goodnight bros."

Leo/Donnie/Raph:"Goodnight, Mikey!"

They hugged each other before Mikey went to sleep. Then Raph started to speak.

Raph:"Call me selfish if you want, but I actually hope that his parents won't come. Ever. I want him to stay here with us."

Leo:"You was right, that is pretty selfish. Did you see how the thought that they maybe didn't want him made him all ready to cry?!"

Donnie:"But in one way I can understand him, Leo. I simply can't imagine how life would be like if Mikey wasn't here. And I don't wanna find out!"

Raph:"And just try to think about how it would have been if he had stayed with his parents..."
