alex clutched onto davids hand as they walked down paradise pier, happy smiles on both of their faces. they had been chatting about stuff that wasn't very relevant, but both were entertained. soon, the words coming from both of the boys died down and the sound of the park engulfed them, leaving them to swing their hands as they walked along the wooden boards of the pier.
"thanks for all of this. i don't think I say that enough." alex said quietly, the noise around them just becoming a buzz in his ear as he focused all of his attention on david. he didn't even realise he was smiling, but david must have.
david grinned happily, reflecting the look on alex's face. he gave the others hands a small squeeze,"don't thank me." he replied quietly, leaning his head on alex's shoulder,"so . . i have a question" he started, being cut off quickly by alex
" it's not too much, is it?- all of this? " alex questioned, the disappointment clear in his voice, and in the way that he tensed up when david was talking. alex obviously thought about this often. it showed in how quick he was to object.
david just shook his head, giving the others hand a soft squeeze,"no, no. i was just gonna ask if uh.. you wanted to move in with me? i mean, i have all this space at my place. i have a roomate named scott, but him and his girlfriend keep each other entertained. i just feel like it'd be more . . . comfortable." he said , even his voice a little too unsure.
" david, you're not serious--" alex objected, looking down at him with a mixture of happiness and confusion on his face.
" completely serious. " david replied, nodding his head to justify his answer.
alex pulled david into a gentle hug, a sigh of relief leaving his lips," thank you . . really. "
