alex tugged his jacket on, taking the chance to study their surroundings, scoffing quietly before sliding his gaze towards david. the two were sitting on the curb, lights from main street casting shadows from the passing crowds. . david had insisted on getting down to main street for a full view of the fireworks. alex would have preferred to be by the castle, but david had insisted. alex wasn't complaining though. they talked the entire time about dumb childhood stories, their futures, stupid conspiracy theories. they both felt so safe wrapped up in their conversation it was startling when they heard the boom of a firework.

suddenly, they had both come aware that the lights had dimmed and the soundtrack had begin to play. alex stood immediately, grabbing davids hand and pulling him up. david just laughed gently, watching alex look up to the sky as they both waited for the fireworks to start.

soon enough, the fireworks came to an end, leaving the two staring up at the sky, covered in smoke from the fireworks. suddenly, david felt alex squeeze his hand - wait . . alex was still holding his hand.

" you should just stay at my house. " alex said, his comment directed to david, his head cocked slightly to the right. they had stayed in the park until midnight, and they were a tad bit damp since they decided to ride splash mountain as their last ride. david's idea, of course.

looking out towards downtown disney from the escalators they were taking up to their parking level, david nodded his head a bit, body shivering every now and again," fine with me. " he said, eyes moving to the top of the escalator as they stepped off, walking to the elders car.

alex yawned a bit, stretching his hands above his head," thanks for today. " he said, bumping into the other with a grin, slowing down as they neared davids car.

" don't thank me. " david replied, looking down at his shoes for a moment before unlocking his car, walking around to the driver's side.
