david laid still for a moment, sighing once he reached out to grab his phone,

alexernst: i think i love you for real.

david paused for a moment, eyes staying paused on the text. he felt alex's breaths grow shakier as every moment passed. a small suppressed whimper left the other side of the bed, causing david to immediately roll over, sitting up,"alex, hey?" he said softly, laying his hand on the others side.

" dont- " alex started, body tensing slightly as he pulled away from davids touch, taking a few deep breaths, small whispers of him counting to ten and back down audible in the silence of the room. slowly, alex reached up to wipe tears from his cheeks, sitting up.

david watched him silently, not wanting to make things worse. all of a sudden arms were thrown around his torso, silent, yet heartbreaking cries shaking the body that had engulfed him.

david just hugged back tightly, one hand making small rounds up and down the others back, soft comments leaving his mouth as he tried to get alex back to a reasonable state.

alex eventually stopped all together, davids neck and shoulder damp from tears. david attempted to pull away, only to find that alex had cried himself back to sleep right there in davids shoulder.

not wanting to wake him up, david laid back slowly with alex still clung to him. once he laid down, alex began to stir a bit, ending up with his head on david's upper chest, arms still wrapped around him.

grabbing his phone, david looked back at the message for a moment before typing a reply.

daviddobrik: i love you for real too.
