I walked down the empty street.

The dim streetlights and the pale moon light filled the dark street. Cool breeze flushed on my face as I strolled.

I kicked a beer bottle and it rolled around made a kind of glass crackling sound.

Another gush of wind blew towards me; I looked at the full moon shining in the dark sky.

Then, I saw a shadow lurking in the corners of the worn mansion. The mansion was huge and old with cob webs outside it, tall pillars, rose bushes.

I took a step towards the mansion’s gate to open it but it opened by itself. Even though I was startled, I moved in and reached the door step.

I knocked once and the wooden door lurched opened making a squeaking sound.

It was dark inside –I hardly could see anything. Suddenly, a television started playing, the noise coming from it, was hastening.

I stepped in and a dim lamp suddenly lit up, I strolled towards the lamp. Weird noise started filling the place –loud moans which were ghastly.

The T.V irked me minute by minute plus also I could see something moving around the lamp –something ghostly.

The thing lurched towards me, uttering grunts at the same time.

“Don’t try to scare me Jimmy. You know you’ll fail.” I spoke into the dark.

Just then I heard a final loud grunt and all the lights were turned on.

The sudden brightness made me close my eyes when I opened them I saw Jimmy standing in front of me frowning with the T.V still irking me.

“I wasn’t trying to scare you.” He protests shaking his head in disagree but I knew that he tried.

He has been trying since a long time ago.

“Yeah sure,” I moved towards the sofa here Matt was sitting changing the channels with the remote.

Neil was sitting on a chair reading a novel not paying attention to anyone of us.

“What’s up?” Matt called dozily before I sat down. In front of the T.V is Matt’s usual lazing around place.

“Just took a stroll out.” I replied sliding in the space beside him.

“Got any fresh blood?” Jay asked walking on the ceiling, down the wall wearing a blue bandana.

He almost crashed into a pictured frame while coming down the wall. That clumsy bunny.

“Nope.” I uttered scratching my head.

“And you do remember what Mark said, ‘No fresh Blood at full moon.’ So how could even ask that?” Neil added flipping his page looking at us sharply.

So he was paying attention, he always does.

“Yeah,” Kayne agreed walking with a hand mirror. “I can’t see my handsome face.” He complained putting the hand-mirror in different directions.

“You know that vampires don’t have reflections, right?” Jimmy snapped.

“I know it’s just-” he started.

William has the ball. Will it be the score for the United Holmes? And it’s -”

“Boring.” Matt muttered changing the channel even though it says ‘no signal’.
