FlashBack

It was a cold night. Wind blew roughly making the leaves trace the sky. It was a night of full moon as a lady made her way into the dark and gloomy forest. Pale moon light filled in as she stepped on dry leaves crunching them under the soles of her shoes.

She finally stopped as she spotted a graveyard. She walked past the many graves searching for a special and when she did, she halted. A tombstone was in front of her, her pale blue eyes scanned the words craved onto it. Her eyes stung as she read but no tears were formed.

Mavis,
From 1993 to 2017,
Death reason unknown.
May You Rest In Peace.

She stood there staring at the coldstone as the shawl above her  dress flew away but the cold didn't bother her. Her bare pale skin touched the cold winds but she didn't shiver nor move a muscle. A pair of hands then covered her with the same lost shawl. The hands pale yet strong. His presence was too familiar for the woman hence she didn't need to look to see who it was.

"Mark," The word escaped from her mouth as a gasp. As the tall man tried to leave, the lady got hold of his wrist.

"Wait, don't go." She pled finally turning around to face him. Studying his beautiful face even though he is known to be a grim reaper. His face is too beautiful for a grim reaper and he's too perfect for a human.

Mark stopped at his tracks and spun around. His dark hooded was now off his head by the force of the winds revealing his silky hair. Guilty clouded his face as he faced the woman.

"I'm sorry, Mavis but we can't-"

"Then why didn't you give me another life? Why did you make me this?" She argued but her voice remained soft. "Why did you turn me into a vampire? Why?!"

Mark was speechless for the first time. He had nothing to say.

Why did he turn her into a vampire? Because of love?

The lady clutched Mark's cloak in  fists. Mark just stared at her get restless.

"Why did you love me when you  had to just aband me?!" She shrieked. Mark wrapped his slender fingers around Mavis' and removed her hands from his robe. He cupped her face and pecked her forehead softly.

"I'm sorry but we can't be together. Be strong for me." He let go of her disappearing into the darkness.

"No Mark! No!!! Please don't leave," She shouted at the top of her voice but it was no use, Mark has already gone. Her knees felt weak and she fell knee first, silently crying tearlessly.

Flashes of memory with Mark flashes into her brain. That time when she met an accident and died. Mark bringing her back to life as a vampire. Mark being cold yet caring for her. All those moments she spent with Mark -it is not easy to forget. She still loves Mark but he denies the truth  saying, 'There is no love between a vampire and a grim reaper.'

She blamed fate for bringing them together and then tearing them apart.

But she has to be strong - what Mark has said. She will fight for her love. She knows what tore them apart, it was another woman - a vampire, her sister.

No one knows how she became a vampire but all she wants is everything to be hers. Including her sister Mavis' love, Mark. To avoid conflicts Mark backed off, having his own plans in his mind.

After years, two realms were established, (as usual) one was good and the other was evil. Mavis's was the Queen of the Virtuous realm whereas her sister the Queen of the Malicious.

They gathered their vampires and made them join their realms and serve them. Then they went on looking for more powerful sources to make them overpower each other.

At finding the blood Stone, every full moon the vampires go out hunting for vermilion stones. Small wars break down each time, the one who wins has the right over each stone.

Once an eclipse occurred, a blood stone was out and was under the rays of changing moon. The stone changed colour to blue drawing attention from vampires to it.

A mafia group's in one of the realms used the stone finding themselves more powerful than the Queens they became selfish. War broke again, this time for the blue stone. The mafia gang hid the stone somewhere so deep that vampires couldn't find.

Years went, no vampire was able to find the blue stone. It remained a legend among the realms until now...
