“Hey, did you hear the news about, Ma’am Jovana?”
“Yeah. It was so shameful for her that she got in this kind of situation, right?”
“If I was her, I should have just hid anyway. I don’t want to embarrass myself.”
I sat in there in the café of the hotel with dark glasses on my eyes so I would be less noticeable by everyone. I also had my hair ponytailed and wore a thick jacket that goes over until my knees. I wore a white business suit with a black skirt with matching white flat shoes which I hated the most. I wasn’t used to these flat shoes though I use heels frequently every day.
It’s yet another day while I sit in there drinking my cup of coffee as I snorted angrily at those remarks of those controversial girls always murmuring that stupid news. I’ve never been like this before, I never am embarrassed of myself and I was feeling like I almost lose self-confidence. Gosh! No way! Don’t leave me.
I took another sip of my coffee when suddenly somebody patted me on the back. I was shocked and almost choked on my coffee and almost screamed. “What the…?” I mumbled to myself and I turned back to look at a grinning Christopher. Stupid. He wore a dark t-shirt with matching black pants with dark sunglasses almost making him unnoticeable.
I sat in there and glared at him angrily. We look like thieves, you know. We almost had gotten a lot of attention when the crowd was staring suspiciously at us and I could not help but to give out a small yelp.
“What the hell is wrong with you, right now?” I yelled at him and noticed a baby cry from a distant and the place goes completely, solemnly, quiet. Oh, gosh! The good thing was nobody noticed my voice.
He gave me cracked smile and without hesitation took my hand and led me out of the café. My cheeks started to feel hot and I quickly pushed his hand away from mine. He turned back and looked at me confusedly.
“Where do you think you’re taking me? I don’t want to go. Period.” I quickly turn my back and started walking back towards the café and realized people were staring at us. I bet they were thinking we were someone popular. No way! I hate that.
I started to realize sweat was running down my hands and started to shake. What? I thought. The place begins to get warmer and it started to sweat on my forehead. I don’t like it after all.
Suddenly, I heard a small chuckle from behind and I stopped on the cold floor. I was totally outrage of the sudden incident and was in full of fury. What has gotten to mind of this young man?
Without any hesitation, I quickly turned my back and saw that grinning cat. He wore that smirk on his face and his black hair makes it more like he was a criminal. He really is a criminal.
He looked up at me and suddenly gave a small chuckle. The people from the main hall noticed us and started murmuring gossips of what’s happening. Even the guard was staring at us in his position still near the entrance of the hotel. Maybe to make sure to stop us if something happens.
A feeling of embarrassment came around while I felt my thick, long jacket’s feathers that it almost gives me a cough and on the inside I was sweating. Stupid jacket!
“I hope you’re happy with what I’m going to do.”
When he said that, my cheeks started to feel hot and my heart beats faster. I don’t know what I’m feeling now. I’m so confused. And by the way, what the hell was he supposed to do. I’m really going to hurt this guy if he will do something bad to me.
Suddenly, he took of his dark glasses and his amber eyes showed up on his face. His still the same Christopher I know but, I already moved on. I’m not going to show them I’m weak.
