(Legolas's P.O.V)Suddenly, a thought popped in my head. "Father," I said, raising my head. "One of the prisoners had an interesting blade. One of a make I have never seen before, " I admitted as I waved a guard to bring me the cloth covered sword.
When the sword was in my hands, I drew it from its scarab to show him. The king frowned. He quickly stepped down from his throne and reached to grabbed the sword.Yet as he touched the blade, he flinched. Withdrawing his hands with wide eyes, he muttered,
"Impossible."
I frowned in confusion as he continued to look at the sword still in my hands. Why would he not take it? It was obvious he knew of the sword. However, before I could question, Father's face quickly changed from one of confusion to one of anger.
With his lips in a thin line, he ordered, "Bring me the prisoner." I nodded and began to make my way to the dungeons once again to claim that female dwarf mutant.

I leaned my head against the cell door, peering through the gaps in the door. From my line of vision, I could count at least 20 cells, each one was unoccupied - I think. I wrap my arms around myself as I thought back to how we got into this mess. Why didn't we just follow the path? Why are we locked up here? It was not like we were going to harm the elves - although I cannot guarantee on the account of the others in the company. However, isn't it a bit too much to lock us up 'forever', according to Thorin, who just came back from meeting the King. Apparently, he's a piece of work and from what I gather from Thorin, there is a dark history between them. I sighed. We are never going to get out of here.
My thoughts were cut off when I heard humming. Turning my head, I watched Mama as she stared vacantly at the celling of our cell, a small smile was visible on her lips. The humming was faint yet somewhat familiar. Where had I heard it before?
"I used to sing it to you when you were little." I looked at her. Her blonde hair was escaping from her plait and dried blood covered half of her face. Despite this, she was still beautiful. Her skin was the shade of snow, a few faint scars here and there. Her eyes, a bluey green. They seemed to see right through me and into my soul. "It was a lullaby my mother sang to me, and her mother before her." A chuckle escaped her lips. "You would have loved Raina, your Great Grandmother. A great healer and grandmother. Sarcastic to the bone she was. Always had that wicked glint in her eye. She would have adored you. You remind me so much of her, you know," Belle said with a hint of a smile.
"What happened to her?"
My mother leaned back against the dirt wall, a frown on her face. "I don't know," she told me truthfully, her eyes saddened. "I haven't seen her since the battle." Battle? What battle? As if Mama had read my mind, she came over and sat next to me, her hand laid on my knee. "Allison there is something I need to tell you. Something that I should of told you years ago." I frowned. What did she need to tell me? Judging by the urgency in her eyes, it was something important but what could it be?
I was leaning against the cell door deep in thought, when suddenly the cell door opened. I hastily placed my hand out in front of me to prevent myself from falling.

I twiddled the ring of keys with my fingers as by passed cell after cell. According to the guard, the prisoner is located two cells from here. Hearing savage language come from the cell I was at, I turned to make eye contact with the dwarf. He was bald and bearded like most dwarves. He had his hands around the cell door bars, slowly going white and his face went red in anger. I narrowed my eyes at him before continuing onwards passing the cells, ignoring the profanity coming from his lips. Dwarves. Such foul creatures.
