Madison had woke up early with a large abundance of confidence, motivation, and excitement. It was only the second day of school and she had a bunch of things on her plate already, not that she minded. She preferred to be busy anyways. She put on a nice outfit which was a ivory knee high dress, her favorite dark blue leather jacket, and ivory vans. She also couldn't forget her ice choker, her mom had to remind her about it before they left. While starting up the car, Madison who was in shotgun noticed Ivan walking out of his house. "Ivan!" She yelled to him, she caught his attention and told her mom to wait.
"Mom, can we give him a ride? He's one of my new friends," She pleaded with puppy eyes while Ivan stood by her door, leaning down to greet her and her mom. "Of course, you can sit back here, Ivan." She gestured for him to get in the car already, once he got in, she started driving.
"So your power is fire, right?" Madison's mom questioned him, "Yes, it is. Miss Winter." He replied, displaying his good mannerisms. "As long as you're not associated with Jaden Wild, then I'll allow you to be my daughter's companion. That is the only rule I will give to you regarding Madison."
"Understood and I can assure you I'm not associated with Jaden Wild, I never knew she existed until we encountered her during lunch yesterday." The pyro boy only spoke the truth which both Winters believed. During the car ride to school, the two teenagers discussed about the topics they needed to talk about during lunch.
"Remember what I said yesterday, my little snowflake." Madison's mom gave her that specific look which Madison knew all too well. The teenage girl giggled, "God I hate the Wilds." She said before closing the car door.
"Let's head to the cafeteria?" Ivan looked down at the petite girl who nodded back, "Let's." Madison checked the time on her phone and saw that there was enough time for her to talk about to the group what happened at her family dinner yesterday afternoon. She knew they deserved to hear why Jaden and her were rivals, it would only give more reason why to oppose her and her family. The Winter had not planned out anything crucial, she had not planned out anything at all. She desired to just go with the flow and see what happens.
The two saw Jeno leaning on the wall near the cafeteria entrance, Jeno noticed them shortly after they did and waved. "Morning you two," He saluted to them in a comical manner, they mimicked his action, earning a bright grin from him.
"Oh crap, I forgot to ask Leah if she needed a ride to school." Madison face palmed herself and sighed loudly as the three entered the cafeteria to see many students eating breakfast. "No worries about that frosty, her mother gives her a ride to school." Jeno shook his head, Madison exhaling in relief. "Alright, thank goodness." The three arrived at the table the other three were sitting at. They exchanged their morning greetings before Jeno, Ivan, and Madison took their seats. "What's up you two?" Nathaniel leaned forward, looking at the pair that just arrived.
"I have something to tell you guys, it regards what happened at dinner last night," Madison started, adjusting her position on the bench, trying to get comfortable.
"Spill the goods." Eddie urged. "But at a reasonable volume." Leah added on. Everyone was curious to hear what she had to say, almost on the edges of their seats. "So my parents told me the truth behind my family's rivalry with Jaden's family and it all started when jealousy struck Jaden's dad. Our families were good friends while me and Jaden were in elementary school until my dad got promoted, taking her dad's spot, and then they actually fought in public, powers and all. Jaden's dad lost an arm and my dad lost an eye, and of course I couldn't do anything, but now I can. And I was given consent by both of my parents for me to go forward with ending the Wilds' reign."
