XV: GRIMM.

THE NEXT DAY

Jeno was discussing with the rest of Legion at the mall about what happened between him and Reaper's sister. He just simply called her "Reaper's sister" since he didn't know what to call her, she never gave him her name and vice versa for him, he wish he had though. The reactions he got from his teammates were exactly what he expected.

"Jeno, I know you think she's beautiful and all, but looks can be deceiving." Madison commented making the brother she never had frown right at her. "Exactly. I thought you looked like a bitch the first time we met with that resting face of yours. And you're acting like one right now." He retorted back, causing the others to gasp and Madison just roll her eyes and look away angrily.

"She's being serious, we all are. We can't just trust someone who was related to a person from the Phantom." Eddie stared at Jeno, backing up the chilly girl next to him. "But that's the thing guys, she said "Help me." And her face showed pure fear...you all have no idea how scared she looked when I tried to comfort and convince her." Jeno looked down as Reaper's sister's face came to his mind. The others, excluding Eddie, Jeno, and Madison, looked at each other with puzzled expressions, they didn't know how to put it any other way. They assumed this would be bothering Jeno until the problem was resolved so that's what they decided with him. He came to an agreement with them that if she was really evil then he would force himself to leave her alone, but if she wasn't evil he would invite her into Legion to help them.

"So it's settled then? We find out if she's with the Phantom or not and then we come to a full agreement later about what our relationship is with her." Haley questioned the rest and they nodded in response. The stirred expression Jeno had on his face only made Madison more angry, she knew she wouldn't be talking to him until he apologized to her. It was a little silent between all of them as they left the food court. 

Someone pulls Nathaniel on the side by his wrist, startling the rest of his friends. He realizes it was Chance who had done so, "Go ahead, I'll catch up." This isn't the first time something like this happened with Nathaniel, the first time was with Katie whom he hadn't seen since then. The rest of Legion gave Chance wary looks before walking on ahead without a word said. 

"What?" He rudely questioned the Phantom member who gave him a slightly nervous look, backing up a little. "Look man, I'm sorry for everything that's happened between us in the past and just recently—" Chance's apology already had Nathaniel taking his leave but the teleporter stepped in front of him immediately, "Wait, hear me out, please, Nate."

"Don't. Call. Me. That." The strong abnormal pressed, biting the inside of his lip. If they weren't in public he would have punched his ex-friend at this point. He believed only those close to him were allowed to call him by that nickname. "I swear to God that what happened between me and Katie wasn't my fault. I'm being two-hundred percent honest with you, Nathaniel. She attempted cheating on you with me before you even caught us. I never even saw her the way you did." That triggered the super abnormal completely.

Nathaniel shoved Chance against the nearest stone wall aggressively and snarled, his action startled passing humans. "Why the hell didn't you tell me that before?! I don't even know why I'm listening to you! You could be lying for all I know right now. What makes me pissed off is that you didn't tell me this when she was actually cheating on me! But no, you decide to be a fucking pussy and not say a goddamn word. You could have saved me from wasting my time, you sack of shit." Nathaniel pushed him roughly again before backing up, clenching his fists tightly until his knuckles turned white. Chance's lips parted as his eyes filled with guilt and sadness, he realized now he could have been the good friend he always wished to be.
