THE NEXT DAY AT LUNCH
Team Legion were discussing with Madison what happened to her last night. They were really worried about her. "From what happened it seems like this was all her anger built over the years that she was tormented by the Phantom." Leah stated as she rubbed Madison's back who was shaking out of nervousness that she had received last night when she got home. After she had murdered Ceyber and Loren at the park, she was welcomed with a text from Joseph saying they needed to talk at lunch. "That's pretty much the only conclusion we could come to." Stated Jeno as the Rowen brothers walked up to them with warm greetings.
While the others were telling Amos what happened with Madison and the Phantom last night. The said girl was blocking out the fact that they were all talking, and loudly. She was too worried about what her boyfriend had to talk to her about and speak of the devil, there he was, standing behind her. Joseph tapped his girlfriend's shoulder, she turned around and nervously grinned, he did the same only awkwardly. He brought her over to an isolated corner.
"Hey, I've been meaning to tell you this for a while...and by a while I mean about a week or two already. It's been eating away at me and I've been to afraid to tell you this because you're you and I'm..." Madison was even getting more worried, her eyes didn't look away from his. "Just tell me, Joseph." She pressed.
"I lost feelings for you about two weeks ago." He stated and she stared at him, her pale lips slightly parting as her icy eyes faded to black. "Alright." She breathed out before walking away back to her team, on the brink of having a breakdown. She knew she had to hold it in, she wasn't going to have her breakdown here, she'd rather have it at home and in her room, alone. "Madi, I'm sorry!" He yelled, jogging after her, catching the attention of Team Legion.
Leah, who had keen eyes, noticed Madison's glossy eyes, and glared at Joseph. "What the hell did you say to her?" Team Legion stopped their chatter and put all their attention on the now ex-couple. "I..." Joseph started but was interrupted by his ex-girlfriend, "He led me on." She bitterly replied as she narrowed her ebony eyes at him. She was doing her best to keep it all in, as much as she seemed angry, she was honestly more broken than ever. Everything was going great for her, she was almost done with her mission by tearing her enemies down one by one, and her bonds with Team Legion were strong as she redeemed bonds with Marc and Amos; but Joseph just ruined her happiness, tainting it with a white lie.
"How long?" Jeno questioned, staring at Joseph, anger evident in his voice. "Two weeks..." Answered his old friend and Jeno shook his head, disapproving of what he had done to Madison. The light bearer saw Madison as his little sister and it made him incredibly upset that his friend done this to her. He had known Joseph longer, but he was so disappointed in him, he didn't expect him to be like this towards someone.
"You're a disappointment." Ivan commented, irked. "Get out of here." Nathaniel sternly stated, frowning, pointing the direction of the exit of the courtyard. "Now." Eddie emphasized on. The human male did so, looking back at Madison with an apologetic look on his face, she avoided eye contact with him as she groaned lowly in frustration. She could just feel her heart aching and turning colder. She knew she would want revenge and payback was a bitch with her in her book, the Phantom knows all about that.
"Are you alright..?" Eddie put his hand on her shoulder, "I'm fine. All I want to do is kill Jaden's group and family now." She sat down in a proper manner, folding her hands together, looking at all of her friends around the table and at the stone benches nearby the table. Legion was all here for her; including Chad, Haley, Marc, and Amos who were now apart of Legion. While they clearly outnumbered the Phantom, they didn't know if they would be outmatched or not.
