I woke up in a cold sweat with tears in my eyes. The nightmares are happening again and I needed to know if this was real because I don't think I can handle not being able to sleep right now.

I grabbed my phone from my nightstand and quietly chewed my shaky lip as I didn't know what Damon's number was. Or even if he had a phone. I fell back into my pillow. Dammit.

This couldn't be happening. I thought my life was finally going swell and normal and then Damon's dead not dead father Darius and my mother are plotting to either kill me or use me?

I rolled over and clutched the pillow to my chest, curling up into a ball. This pillow smelled like aspen. Which smelt like me only with a stronger hint of honey.

My brain suddenly clicked something together. Aspen had contacted me while I was with Damon by computer.

I sat up quickly looking around for the laptop which was at the end of my bed. I slid it over and opened it up looking in the Valle history to find my name and started the call. I tuned my finger through my hair at the sight of me because I looked aweful.

I tapped my forefinger feverishly against the plastic in anticipation staring at the screen. I needed him to answer and yell at me for waking him up. I didn't know if I wanted the dream to have been more then just that. Or if I wanted Damon to ask me what the hell I was talking about.

Then the screen blinked a green box in the top left corner and it said "connecting". I looked behind me nervous as to who could be out there.

"Babe?" His tired and messy head popped up on the screen. He looked just like he did in the dream.

"You said to call." I said quietly.

His eyes widened a bit. "I did."

"Damon-"

"Wow, jeezus." He rubbed his eye in a childish manner and I found myself doing the same. "Did you really kiss Liam." He dead-panned.

I stayed quiet for a few moments as I watched him and I could tell he already knew the answer.

"Yes."

"Why? Babe- god, fucking why?" He looked angry but seemed to tired to really act out on it more then words.

"We have more important things to discuss." I said.

"No we do not." He said firmly shaking his head.

"Damon-!" I whispered fiercely and my voice cracked. "I'm being serious! I shouldn't have to explain this right now but I like Liam and he likes me. Hell everybody loves Liam!" I threw a hand up in the air. "But right now I could not care less about having a love life with anyone. I just overheard my mother and your father plotting a fucking war an they plan on either killing me to get god knows what or using aspen to get me to do what they want!" I said exasperated.

Every other problem in my dramatic life seemed small at the moment. And to be honest with myself I would do whatever it took to keep aspen safe so I had to get aspen away from here. And the only place I knew might be untouchable was Damon's pack. I pressed my fingers to my temples before looking up at the screen. "Damon.." I said helplessly. "I'm so confused." I shook my head.

"I'm not saying I believe you-" he looked at me skeptically. "But what do you want me to do? I'm coming to get you tomorrow."

"No." I said with as much confidence as I could muster up.

"No?" He glared at the camera, at me. "If any of what you say is true then why the hell don't you want to get out of there?" He was confused and angry that much I could tell, but otherwise I was too tired to pick up on the spark in his eyes and the desperation behind his voice.
