Chapter 6

What was I going to do? I didn't know how to look for dancers. I honestly didn't even know what I could possibly do to find any. I guess I will just have to think about it.

Later on that day I went to school. I met up with my friends at my locker-as in Tyler and Ashley. They seemed really eager to tell me something. Once I made it to my locker I said;

"Spill it already!" They didn't seem the slightest taken aback.

It was Tyler who spoke. "Do you want to go to this new club that opened up the other day?"

New club? What kind of club?

"Um, what kind of club exactly?" I took off my backpack and stuffed it into my locker.

"It's a dance club slash bar. It would be totally awesome if you could come." Ashley said this time.

Now would be a good time to look for some new dancers. I could spot some really good dancers and ask them if they would want to join me. I may have to prove to them that I was eligible to be a leader of a group. Once they see what I got, they will have to join me.

They have to.

"Yeah sure. When will we be going?" I gave Ashley and Jake my full attention.

"Tonight. We will pick you up at 8. Be ready." Tyler gave me his number and then they walked off. I looked at the piece of paper with the number on it.

This should be fun.

It's about 7:30 and I had put on some skinny jeans, black converse, red and black plaid shirt and then tied a sweatshirt around my waist. I was ready and they weren't even expected to show up for another 30 minutes.

I decided to go to the living room and walk around aimlessly till they showed up. I wanted to put some music on and warm up for tonight, but when I had thought about this I got a text from Tyler saying they were here.

I jumped up a couple times and shook my hands out. Now or never. Let's just get this over with.

I took a deep breath and opened my front door just to have my breath knocked out of me. What if I can't do it? What if my old group was just trying to get rid of me because I was a bad dancer? What was wrong with me? Can I do this?

Shut up!

You are Alexa Rosa Delross. You can do this.

Smiling to myself and shutting and locking the door behind me, I walked to the car that would be taking me to my hopefully new dance group.

Once I got in I noticed who was in here. Tyler was driving, Ashely in the passenger, and Cherrie was in the backseat along with me now. They all spoke and talked around me and I occasionally said something but I was merely focused on getting to the club to get me some dancers.

That sounded creepy.

The ride was really short. Once we got there we all hoped out and walked up to the building. When we stood foot in there the music was blasting. It seemed like a normal dance party, where people where grinding on each other. I noticed the song as A Dream Within A Dream by The Glitch Mob.

I decided I might as well get used to the place before I go and start picking on some good dancers. So, I went up to the bar and asked for a drink. Surprisingly they didn't ask for an ID so I was fine. After downing the drink I walked out to the dance floor and started doing some basic moves.

I felt two hands on my waist but didn't turn around to see who it was and started grinding on them. Every pace was in beat. So rhythmic. I know what you're probably thinking, and let me tell you, I am just 'going along with everybody'. I most likely wouldn't do this on any normal day but the song and the beat had me stuck. Our hips moving in sync. It was-what felt like-magic. Like he was a good dancer, I could feel it.

That's when I took my moment and did a move that ended up with me facing him. The song had changed to All The Cash by Evil Nine. What I didn't expect to see was Tom Brown as my 'dancing' partner.

"Surprise." He spoke into my ear that sent tingles down my spine. I put my hands on his chest and tried to push him back but it didn't work, seeing as how he was just a bit stronger than I was.

"What are you doing here?" That sounded like a dumb question. He was a dancer, I was a dancer it was kind of expected to see him here. I just never thought anything of it.

"I could ask you the same thing. But I think we would both have the same answer."

"Point taken." I say. We just kept dancing in the same rhythmic motion.

Hey guys, sorry for the very late and short update. I just kind of have this thing where I just lose inspiration to continue to write a book. So, I have decided that I actually want to try and make this be my first actual finished book. I will be updating more frequently but not as frequently.

Next update shall be soon.

Not too soon though...
