Chapter 10

"Welcome to the stage 901!" The announcer rang.

The music started and we all jumped onto stage clapping out hands above our heads at the beat, making the audience clap their hands as well. Everybody took their places as the beat stopped. The room was silent.

Suddenly the music change to a slow danceable beat and everybody took their turns as their part came up to dance, then all at once.

The beat rocked my ears as I cought small glimpses of the audience. As the group moved I felt relaxed. Everything was perfect. I had Jake, my group and well, my new perfect family. Nothing could be better than this moment right now. I want to live in this moment forever.

The music stopped unexpectedly. Everyone stopped. The people broke out in unison asking questions. It was very loud, but not as loud as that voice. That voice that would make me shrill and keep me up at night.

"Hello Alexa. Miss me?" The voice boomed through the entire building. Everybody looked around, searching for where the voice had originated from.

"John? What are you doing?" I kept looking around, trying to find where he was.

"Oh you were never the smartest one in the group were you? No. I'm just trying to get what was properly mine in the first place. And Jakey here isn't going to take that away from me! I will get what I want!"

All the lights in the theatre turned off and everyone screamed, except for me. I tried to get my eyes to adjust to the dimness before walking around trying to find Jake. I needed to get to him to check to see if he was okay. I heard running from all around me, everybody was leaving out the front doors, if they could find them. The lights above me slowly dimmed on making it easier to see where I was going.

Looking all around me, I noticed a few people standing on the stage still. I squeezed my eyes to see if I could see Jake. When looking I find a head of brown hair, luscious brown hair. I walk towards what could be my Jake. Once I get close enough I tap on his shoulder am he turns around. I fling my arms around him.

"Jake. I'm glad you're okay." I pulled back and pecked his lips.

"Me? I was so worried about you. What's going on?" I guess he does deserve an explanation for what has been going on these pass couple weeks. But not now, I'll have to give him the short version.

"After you...'died' John and the rest of the group separated me from the group and sent me to a place far away. I had to start all over, school, work, and everything. Eventually I found a new dance group an we practiced so we could end up here. And ta-da here we are." I spoke quickly. His facial expressions changed throughout the story but he stayed quiet till the end.

"That son-of-a-bitch." His face held an angry expression and I knew once I told him what I was about to, it would turn to the angriest face I have ever seen him.

"And...John came to the place they put me and...he kissed me and told me all the stuff he could do to me since you were gone." I wasn't going to tell him about the fight we had because I could handle myself and I knew he will worry about me more than he ever has.

"Are you fucking serious?" I was right. His expression; dangerous.

"Yes. Now we have to find him-"

"You're just going to drop the whole thing?!" I stared at him in shock.

"Well, yeah. We can deal with this later-"

"Where is that bastard?" He looked around furiously. If looks could kill, John would be dead before Jake could even look at him.
