"Man is she fast,"cried Stephan as we ran looking for layla.
"I have an idea Gastly come on out," I yelled, a purple ball of gas flew out of the pokeball and floated in front of us.
"Gastly can you help us look for my sister?" I asked. He floated above us and started looking from the sky. We ran after him and looked from the ground.
We ran into the forest outside of Pallet town and Gastly came back and gestured in front of us. I recalled him into the pokeball and we continued forward into the forest.
We ran into a clearing in the woods and saw Layla being confronted by two people.
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light" said the red haired woman.
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight," said the blue haired man half heartedly.
"Meowth, that's right," said a talking Meowth. Stephan and I ran to Layla's side.
"I've heard of Team Rocket. You're bad guys who try to steal people's pokemon but fail miserably every time," I said
"Hey! That's not funny. You twerps should learn to respect your elders," said the girl.
"Jessie you do realize that you just called yourself old, don't you?" asked the guy.
"Shut up James. Send out your pokemon," she yelled. He grumbled and threw out a pokeball. A Growlithe appeared. Jessie threw out her pokeball and a Nidorina appeared. Layla and I sent out our pokemon.
"Growlithe, use ember on oddish, Nidorina, you use poison sting on Oddish," yelled Jessie. Both of the pokemon used their attacks on Oddish. Oddish fainted. Layla recalled her and fell to her knees.
"Gastly used your shadow ball on Nidorina," I yelled. The shadow nailed Nidorina in the face but it wasn't strong enough to knock her out.
Meowth's claws extended and he walked up to Stephan. Stephan's eyes widened and he sent out Eevee.
"Eevee use quick attack," he yelled. Eevee launched itself at Meowth and sent him flying into a tree. Meowth was knocked out cold.
"Again, both of you focus your attacks on Eevee," yelled Jessie.
"Hold on, I can't do this anymore," said James recalling Growlithe, "Why do you do this Jessie? Ever since we left that other twerp you've never let me battle with my own pokemon."
"Well, between the both of us I'm the strongest," she said matter of factly.
"Wrong answer Jessie, I quit," he said sadly.
"You can't quit! Wait until Giovanni finds out," said Meowth.
"I don't care I've already got all my pokemon and I've made up my mind." He walked over to us and asked, "I know I just tried to steal all your pokemon but I have nowhere to go. Can I come along with you?"
"If this is one of your tricks then you can just turn around and walk away, but if not then meet us at the fair in Viridian. We can talk there," I told him.
Stephan and I recalled our pokemon and we left the clearing and walked towards Viridian.
