"How could anyone be this cripplingly stupid?" I hear Kiriah mumble to herself as we walked through the halls.

"I heard that, you know." I reply.

"You were meant to." She grumbles back.

"It's not my fault, I'm in this mess." I say to her. She stops in her tracks and turns to look at me.

"And how are you so sure of that? There are a number of things you could have done. At this point you are just as much to blame as me." Kiriah snaps.

"Hey you two, stop fighting, I swear. You are getting on my nerves. We need to stop handing the blame around, It won't help anyone, and arguing will draw attention to us." Zander steps in. Kiriah turns around and keeps walking.

"At least someone has some common sense around here." She mumbles. I take a deep breath.

"Sorry, I'm Just..." I say before I'm interrupted by Kiriah.

"A spoiled royal brat with a superiority complex?" She says sarcastically. I catch her smirk, and chuckle lightly.

"Yeah." I run my hands through the hair of my disguise.

"I supposed I'm guilty of that as well." She admits. Zander nods and looks down.

"Well it doesn't help that everyone is always telling you that one day, you are going to be the top of something greater than yourself, and that you are fully responsible for when something goes wrong. We didn't choose our lives, so why do we still blame ourselves?" Zander says solemnly.

"Because even if we didn't choose the responsibilities we are given, they are still ours." Kiriah responded. "Either way we are here." She pushes the door open and there is a woman sleeping on the bed. Me and Zander start discussing. How does she know this person? Is she a sister? Is she just a good friend maybe? Kiriah leans down and runs her fingers through the womans hair.

"Kiriah... I'm not doing anything, there are people watching us." The woman groans and rolls over.

"I wasn't going to ask you to do anything like that, and they are not entirely people." She replied in what seemed like an attempt at a comforting voice. Kiriah leaned in and passionately kissed the woman. Zander and I look at each other.

"So its that kinda friendship." He gives me a perverted face.

"She's still got more of a relationship than you will ever have." I smirk at him, and he sticks his tongue out at me.

"I are you two always that immature. I have to wonder how you got aboard this ship." The women on the bed says. Zander and I exchange a brief, wait can she hear us?... "I could hear you even if you weren't using such a loose mental connection. You could say I'm gifted, but how do you two even have a mental connection? It shouldn't be physically possible." Shes still half asleep, but she is staring at us intently.

"Here, lets head on up to the bridge. I can explain more there." Kiriah spoke sweetly. Either she is not concerned, or she is a wonderful actor. We walk back to the bridge with the groggy Gardonian. She eyes us suspiciously the whole time.
