The reckoning is coming.
Elena now sits to my right, and I have no idea what Kiriah is planning. I know it has something to do with taking back her home planet, or some such vigilant goal, but honestly I think I would be fine just staying here with Elena. Not like it matters anyway. She said me and Zander will be doing something important, and who am I to argue? Oh right, a lot of things that no longer matter. I guess I am just going to have to wait. Elena's dad didn't seem to think I should be left alone in the house, and as much as I argued he still said it would be fine if I just went to school. I'm not sure if he was know exactly what happened there. I sent Zander and Kiriah a message, so that they would know what was going on. Zander agreed, but Kiriah said she would just stay in the ship until the designated meeting time. She wasn't exactly fluent in English, only passable.
I walked up to the front of the school. I considered making myself look like someone else, but I decided against it. It was barely worth making myself look human at all, but we didn't need some one who had never seen before mugging me. I felt like everyone was staring at me as I began walking towards my math class with Elena. I shouldn't have expected anything else. As much as I didn't want to face him Elena assured me that we would be safe with the Math teacher. He was after all the first person to realize there was something up with me.
I walked in and he nearly spilled his coffee on himself. The kids in the room all looked up from what they were doing.
"I thought you said that if we came early no one would be here." I whispered to Elena. The room was silent for a while until the teacher spoke up.
"Um... I don't exactly know what to say. I wasn't really expecting to see you ever again." He says.
"The feeling is mutual." I reply. "They didn't want me to stay at the house alone, so I am to be following Elena around for today. After that you will likely never see me again, and if you do, you will probably wish you hadn't." After I finished talking the bell rang. That accursed bell always made my ears twitch, and I was not to unhappy that I was no longer going to have to put up with it. During most of class it was just the teacher yelling at the kids who's glares would drift in my direction. I sat in the back quietly. Not daring to make a sound. I didn't want to pick around in their heads because my eyes would glow, so I just sat there. Silently waiting for the "Big Plan" that Kiriah had come up with. A few more bells later and an abundance of stares, and it was lunch.
Now or never. This is when we were going to have Kiriah meet us. My and Zander would have sat alone, but it seems that the other kids were a lot more loyal than I gave them credit for. I was going to miss them at least. There was a massive crash, and a cloud of dust erupted from the ground.
"Kazarah. I expect that I did not come to this place in vain. This is when and where you asked me to meet you, Correct." She yelled, looking into the crowd of children staring at her. "Avert your gazes or I will gut you like fish." They all quickly stopped looking at her, and I didn't blame them. Elena looked terrified, and I didn't blame her. Zander or "Orion" stepped forward and greeted her. Elena tried to make me stop, but I made an attempt at reassuring her before I walked over. "Are you ready to begin?" She asked me. I only nodded in response.
