As soon as you turned around to face Harry, you didn't expect your reaction to be slapping him across the face. Harry grabs his cheek and starts rubbing it.You sigh. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that." You whisper.
"S'kay. I deserved that." He sighs.
"Yeah, you did! I can't believe you. Almost four months ago, you wanted nothing to do with me, yet now you've called me and stood up in front of other people talking about us. I don't get it, Harry! How dare you do this?" You shout.
Harry sighs looking around. There weren't a lot of people in the parking lot, but he still didn't want this conversation to happen in public.
"Can we go somewhere more private to talk?" He sighs.
"Why? Why now do you want to talk all of a sudden?" You say.
"Because there are some things that you should know. Things that I should have told you back then, but I can't go back, so I just have to settle for telling them to you now. If you'll let me." He says.
You sigh shaking your head. You wanted answers, but you also didn't want to be alone with him. You were afraid of what might happen, that you would get sucked back into wanting to be with him.
"We can meet back at my place. I'll listen to whatever you have to say, do you think you can say it all in ten minutes?" You ask.
He sighs. "I'll take as long as you'll give me," He says.
"Okay, you can just follow me." You say. "But first, I'm going to let my friends know that I'm leaving."
"Yeah, I should let my friend know too," Harry says.
"Did you know?" You say.
"Know what?" He asks.
"That I would be here. Did you only come here to do this? To see me?" You ask.
"I wish I could say that I did, but it was completely by chance. I saw you walk in and sit down. I didn't know how else to get you to hear how I felt, so I just, I just went up on stage." He whispers.
You were even more confused because you had no idea why he even felt anything for you if he was the one who ended it. You were also having conflicting feelings because your head was saying that you should let him in again because he'll just hurt you, like every other guy in your past, but your heart was swelling up at the thought that he wanted to be with you.
You just nod, not knowing what to say. "I'll see you in a bit." You mumble before grabbing your keys to your car and getting in.
**
The entire drive home you were wondering what it could be that Harry wanted to say to you. What if he was seeing someone else? But that wouldn't make sense because he was just singing a song about you. You hated this. You hated letting him just walk back into your life and instantly make your heart flutter. You hated how all you could think about was him.
"Damnit!" You scream hitting the steering wheel.
You were supposed to be moving on. You were supposed to forget about him and just focus on yourself. You were only with him for a week, why did you have this strong connection with him that it only took you seeing him again for less than ten minutes to make you feel like this.
You were crying as you drove home. You were sure that these were a mix of angry and sad tears. Angry because part of you hated him from what he did and part of hating yourself for letting yourself get to this point again. Sad because you wanted nothing more than him to tell you that he wants to be with you, that he made a mistake, but you couldn't let yourself get your hopes up. Not again.
