My Hero

"Aw look! It's the gay parade."

My eyes widened and I stepped back.

Bill had slung Eddie's arm around his shoulder.

I knew Henry would hurt Eddie because he was hurt.

"Look at Wheezy!"
He said as he roared with laughter.

I gave him a death stare.

How the hell had this kid not learned his lesson yet?

I kicked him in the nuts.

He screeched and fell to his knees.

"You bitch!"

He said as he grabbed my hair and tugged.

I began to cry from pain as he smashed my head against the hard ground.

Snot and spit flew from my face as I sobbed and mud was rubbed in my face.

"S-S--Stuh-STOP IT-T! B-BOWERS!

He let go and I crawled away into a corner as blood from my head dripped into my eyes.

"What do you want Stutter Face?"

"Original."

"Alright smart ass. Listen, if you run now, you'll only leave with a few scratches. But if you stay with your girlfriend here, you'll die."

Bill stood his ground.

"Leave her. a-alone. Go."
Henry smiled and stood up.

"Alright. You're asking for it."
But before Henry could hurt him, Bill charged forward and punched him right in the nose.

He wailed and fell back onto the floor.

"SARAH! TAKE EDDIE AND GO!! NOW!!"
He yelled as he sprinted the opposite way so Henry would follow him.

I hesitated.
I didn't want to leave him.

But, I nodded and ran with Eddie on my shoulder.

I heard another scream.

It was coming from Bill.
