The Date
Liam
You stood in front of the vanity in your bathroom as you swiped a mascara brush over your eyelashes to give them a more voluminous look for the dance with Liam. To say you were excited was an understatement.
"(Y/N) sweetie your date is here." Your mother said from outside the door.
"I'll be out in a second." You called as you did the last finished the last few touches to yourself.
You stepped into your bedroom and pulled your shoes on and grabbed your clutch.
You left your room and walked to the stairs and like the dork your older brother is, he started up some music as you began to walk down the stairs.
It was like slow motion as Liam turned from talking to your father as he looked up the stairs to see you. You smiled to yourself as his jaw dropped. Your giggle must have brought back his mind as he shook his head and closed his mouth. He actually visibly gulped as you walked from the bottom of the stairs over to him.
"Hi." You whispered looking him over in his suit. He looked so handsome in suit and tie that complimented your dress perfectly.
"You look gorgeous." He said taking your hand and winding through his own. He then leaned over and kissed your cheek. A blush stained your cheeks.
Your parents went through the motions of taking pictures of you and Liam in front of the fireplace.
-The Dance -
As soon as you arrived at the dance Liam was jumping from his side of the car and like a true gentleman walked to yours and was opening the door, and being the total lady that you are you tripped over your own feet getting out and fell straight into Liam's chest. "Grr," You growled quietly. You blushed furiously as you looked up at Liam to find your faces close. "Hi?"
"Hi? Are you okay?" his arms around your waist pulled you closer into him.
"Just peachy. Heels are just hard to walk in." You pushed away from Liam gently to stand on your own two feet again.
"Oh I know! I hate when I have to wear heels. They always make my feet swell up and they are just killer on my ankles." You couldn't help but laugh at the haughty expression on Liam's face.
"Now why don't we get you inside so that you can take those heels off and we can dance?" Liam laced your arm through his and escorted you inside. Once inside Liam walked you over to some seats and had you sit down. He knelt down in front of you and in true Prince Charming fashion he pulled your heels of slowly and sat them next to you. "Better?" He asked looking up at you with a twinkle in his eye.
"Much," you nodded.
"Let's dance." He helped you to stand and walked you over to the dance floor. All around you students were dancing to whatever song was playing but you and Liam were in your own little world as he pulled you up close to his chest. He leaned down and with his lips gracing your ears he whispered along to the song playing.
"I know how it goes. I know how it goes from wrong to right. Silence and sound. Did they ever hold each other tight like us? Did they ever fight like us?" Shivers went down your spine. It was like the song was made for Liam.
That was how the night went. You and Liam dancing to most every song that played. Him holding you close and singing into your ear. He was the perfect date. When you were thirsty he was quick to bring you punch. It was in every way a perfect night.
