It Once Happened With Me

Chapter 20

And it suddenly went black...

After many years..,

I am married now and I have two children and i am living happily. I have been shifted to a new country . My parents passed away last year and I had to go back to the same house to clean up everything, i was little scared but I was happy that I was with my family and not alone.

After some days we came back and i had a child, Charlie, this name was given by my husband. Whenever I used to call Charlie i used to shiver and felt that something was around me and it reminded that some one named Charlie had hurt me when I was a child. But i don't know what was happening.....

Charlie started to go to school and he was quite happy but I don't wanted to send him to school so I talked to my husband about this and he said that I was feeling like this because I have never let Charlie alone.

One day Charlie called Me from school and told me that he have football practice so he would come late. So i waited for him, it was quite late and he didn't come yet. My husband was also out of town so I was alone at home.

When i was small i used to shiver when there was something bad going to hppened with me or my family and I was shivering like that. I took my coat and went out to search for him.

The street was empty. I could hear the faint howl of the wind as it blew on my face. It was like I was alone on another planet in the middle of an empty place. There were no lights. It was pitch black. there were no voices, no other forms of life. Nothing.

At last I reached at Charlie's school. The school had a  lots of classes and had stairs running in two directions. It had some cob webs in the ceilings hanging down. There was a round huge assemble hall. The School ws hard and had mold in the velvet drapes that were like the ones in the mosuelums. The whole entire school was damp and dreary. No one could see or hear anything moving alive around there. The doors and stairs creek going up and the windows also creek and made noises when wind hits them very much. The lighting of the school was gas lamps on the sides of the walls all over the place. There was food sitting on the table in the canteen tables and the canteen looks like someone was eating and left in hurry. Oh! there was light in the upstairs bathroom. Its oil lit of coarse but no one was there in the shower, and it was running and its old and rugged looking.

I went to the the 2nd floor to search for him as his was class was in 2nd floor. I kept the flashlight. I started shouting his name but no reply but whenever I used to call there used to come a wired voice. After some time I saw a boy standing in front of me, facing downwards and i was sure that it was Charlie and our conversation started...

Me : -  Charlie, what are you doing here? I was waiting for you for such a long time and you are standing here like an idoit, come one let's go home now, it's too late. *walking towards him slowely*

Charlie : - You........ kil......led....... my...... grand.....parents......, yo....u kill......ed th.....em, yo...u kille...d t.....h...em.... *shouting*

I was shocked *shocked*

Me : - No i di.....dnt kill them...

Charlie : - Yo....u di..d..... YOU...... DID... *shouting*

Me : - No, i ...di...

Charlie : - Shut up *angry*

Charlie : - I am not going to leave you easily Amelia *laughing loudly*

I started shivering........

Charlie : - Now see, what I am going to do with you... * laughing like a ghost*

I started hearing some footsteps and i was sure that someone was coming back of me. I didn't move away from that place and Charlie was laughing loudly. The footsteps started to come nearer... more nearer..... more nearer...... MORE NEARER.... MORE NEARER....

AND THEN WHEN I TURNED BACK......

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA............
