"Hello class. Now first and foremost I would like you to know that my class is strictly a working environment. It is not a place to make or discuss your plans for your weekend or to goof of with your peers. If I see this happening, I will give you an extra assignment, no warning. This is my time to teach you what you need to survive in the real world." Mrs. Doltey stood in front of the class hands on her hips, gazing sharply down her long nose at her new victims.. Aka us, the students.
She's wearing her glossy brown hair in a tight knob on the back of her head, not a single stray hair in sight. A bright red neck scarf is knotted so tightly around her neck it's a miracle she isn't suffocating. A black and white cardigan is buttoned up over a plain black shirt, and a tight shin length pencil skirt and a pair of clunky black mary jane shoes finish off her.. Look.
"There has always been and will always be a no tolerance policy for silliness in my classroom." Mrs. Doltey turns to the chalkboard and raises her chalk to write something, then pauses and turns again to face her class. "One more thing. Homework will be graded.. If you don't bring it three times in a row, parents will be called. And if assignments are not handed in on the due date, you get an automatic zero no makeups no exceptions. If you will now take out your notebooks and a pencil.. If you do not have these tools don't bother staying." She turns back to the board. Hate herr.

The bell finally rings to signify lunch time. And not a moment too soon. Since Sonya and I had Mrs. Doltey's class together, we walk to the caf together to meet the rest of Sonya's friends. We turn the corner and the group is in eyesight when Sonya grabs my arm to stop me.
"Ok.. Whoa. What's the deal with you and Will?" Sonya says suspiciously.
"Uhh.. I actually have no clue what you're talking about. I swear." I put my hands up to signify surrender.
"Um duh! Isn't it obvious?? Will is like in love with you." Sonya widens her eyes, then seeing my disbelieving expression sighs. "Ok, ok. Well.. Just be, you know, careful with him. There was another girl he dated last year named Kayla and, I'm trying to be nice here, she's a bitch. She led him on then tore him to mini bite sized Will pieces." She holds her finger up to signify, uh, Will pieces. Which were not that big. "So whatever you do please don't hurt him, ok? He's my friend. That's all." Sonya links her arm through mine and walks toward the table where everyone is sitting.
"Ahh. I see you survived Mrs. Doltey's famous initiation speech?" Jared smirks at us, his arm slung around Ailsa's narrow frame. Everyone is crowded around a small blue circle table with a wrap around bench that barely fits everyone. Just my luck, I get to sit beside-
"Hey Talia!!" Will.
"Oh.. Hey Will.." Look, I don't want it to be awkward or anything but it's kind of difficult, when Will is like a little puppy and.. Well I don't wanna be the one who has to kick him away.
"So I hear you had Mrs. Doltey first? That sucks. Who do you have next??" Will asks me, biting into his wrap.
"Umm.. Mr. Baron." I start unwrapping my sandwich.
"Oh.. Actually? I've heard he's even WORSE than Mrs. Doltey!" Will laughs and shakes his head. Ah great. This is going to be a long day.
