Chapter 15

Hey guys. I'm back. I apologise deeply for not updating. Exams has been killing me. I'm on to my second week of exams and I feel like I'm going to die.

I read the comments and I just got so inspired. I hope you can forgive me for being a mean old lady and for not updating sooner. Writers block is no excuse either.

Hunter had just finished his course and had flapped his wings to land on the island again. The entire team clapped for Hunter when his feet touched the ground and when his wings retracted into his back, only allowing two small bumps to be visible.

Everyone looked at Robin to hear his decision, "Well, my decision has been made." He announced. "Obviously," Jinx shouted, making the others laugh.

"The decision is that Hunter..." He began. Everyone was gnawing on their fingers, waiting for his answer. He paused dramatically, "Just spit it out already!" Bumblebee yelled.

"Hunter had to come for another obstacle course training simulation before anything else is said." Robin announced. The whole team booed him but Hunter raised one hand to stop them, "At least I'm getting another chance to prove myself. I'm thankful for that." He smiled.

Cyborg walked up to him and wrapped his arm around his shoulders, "C'mon man, let's go inside and have a great feast," He offered. "Thanks for the invite but unfortunately, I have to get back to my parents and look for colleges," He admitted.

Cyborg shrugged and moved back to Starfire, "Goodbye Hunter. Enjoy your search for the colleges," Starfire waved. Hunter gave them a smile. His wings pushed out from his back and he flew away.

"Anybody ready for a feast?" Cyborg asked. The crowd cheered and entered the tower. Jinx remembered something, "Oh, I forgot that I left my bracelet on the floor. I'll see you inside," She told Raven. Raven nodded and went inside.

Jinx walked to the area she stood at before and found her bracelet. It was silver with a small red heart. She felt wind breeze through her. She turned her head and saw the boy she had been avoiding for the past few weeks.

Kid Flash.

He stood a few feet away, staring at Jinx with his blue eyes, "Hey," He waved with a small smile, "Hey," Jinx greeted back with shock.

"I miss you," He stated suddenly, " What are you doing here?" She asked coldly. He moved closer to touch her but she moved back before he could touch her. Hurt graced his face as he dropped his hand, "I wanted to see you. I have been miserable without you," He confessed.

"I haven't been miserable at all. I have been doing just great," Jinx lied, crossing her arms smugly and turning away from him. He walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her from behind, "Why are you lying?" He whispered. She melted into his embrace.

She missed having him hold her, whisper sweet things into her ear and his smile. Goodness gracious, She missed his heavenly smile. It made her happy. But she couldn't go back to him. Not after what happened.

She pushed him off of her and brushed away the tear that formed in her eyes, "I'm lying to protect myself and you. Goodbye Kid," She sniffed.

He was hurt. She didn't even call him Wally. He brushed away his tears and sped away.
