Reaping day had arrived. All if the boys and girls aged 12 to 18 lined up as the peace keepers placed there names in the reaping bowls. Effie trinket stood up on the stage and began. "welcome to the 74 annual Hunger Games! This year we will skip the video and get straight into it! the female tribute for district twelve is... Primrose Everdeen!" "Prim! No!" Katniss screamed. "No! Katniss, Help Me!" Prim screamed back. "The male tribute for district twelve is Peeta Melark!" Effie continued. "I volunteer for Peeta!" Gale said. "Gale No! I volunteer for Prim!" Katniss yelled. "I'm sorry darling but you can't volunteer once the next tribute is chosen" "No!" Katniss screamed again as prim and gale where taken away.
