There he was. Lying next to me, his left arm strechting out to pull me to him. His warmth was reassuring me. Reassuring me that he was not just dead, not just a lifeless corpse. Not like some body in a dark alleyway. Not like...

"Morning Kate.." Castle streches and a wide smile glides on his face as he sees me.

"Morning.." I mumble, not completely being there with my mind.

"What's the matter?" He asks, slowly sitting up.

"Nothing. Really." I say, and look him in the eyes. I kiss him and he pulls me to him, but my lips don't move away from his.

"Good..." He whispers into my right ear. He traces my neck with his long fingers. Just now I realise how strong they are; the constant typing must really train them. My soft lips move down his chest, and I long for every centimeter of it. He moans and I smile. God, I love him.

"Kate.. Can you do the trick with the legs again?" He says, and winks at me. I just roll my eyes, and push myself on top of him. He reacts immediately, and kisses my mouth, my neck and my chin wildly. He unhooks my dark blue lace bra, and throws it off the bed. I do the same thing with his shirt, and just as I want to pull down his pants, I hear my phone ring.

Castle groans and rolls onto his side.

"Beckett?" I gasp into my brand new iPhone, Castle was really pampering me too much..

"We have a murder. Riverside Church. But take your time.. You and Castle must be busy. " Espo snickers.

"Espo..." I growl into the phone.

"Ok, Ok. Sorry." He says, and I can hear Ryan laughing in the background. I quickly hang up.

"And?" Castle asks curiously.

"Murder. Riverside Church. So much to this.." I say, letting my head hang. I can still see the buldge in Castle's pants, and I knew that he must be even more dissapointed than me.

Caslte groans again, but stands up from the bed.

Together, we stand at the elevator doors outside Castle's apartment. Castle is still looking at me longingly and I needed to admit that I was doing the same.

Just as the doors open, Castle pulls me to him, pushing me against the elevator walls.

"No.." I say, though I did kind of want it.

"Please..." Castle begs, and kisses me some more.

"Richard Castle. We are not going to have sex in an elevator." I order.

"Ok, Ms. Beckett" He says, and I could here the disappointment in his voice. Though he smiles at me, and kisses me on the forehead.

"Soon Mrs. Castle." I joke and softly kiss him back.

The elevator doors open again, and we step into the foyer.

--

"Hey." Ryan greets us, as we step over the yellow band.

"Who is the victim?" I ask before I see her. The blond young woman was lying in a flood of her own blood. Her pretty white wedding dress was soaked, and shimmering a dangerous shade of red. A silver knive was sticking out of her chest.

"Obviously the bride. Well that's a way of ditching the groom. It was probably the groom. She was having an affair and he... stabbed her heart, like she did with him.."

"God, Castle." I roll my eyes, but chuckle quietly: I loved his wild ideas.

"She died from the knive?" I bend down, hoping not to get my pants soaked with blood. Though that was really my least important problem.

Lanie looked down at the bride one more time and answered my obvious question: "Actually no. She got shot. Right through the heart. What I suspect is that someone jammed the knive in her to cover up the shot. Which of course is not possible because...?" She looked at me and winked.

"Because you're the best. Approximately at what time was she murdered?" I grin back at her and glance at Castle. He seemed awfully quiet. As I catch his gaze, he just shakes his head and smiles.

"She died about two hours ago. So at 10. The priest discovered the corpse at 11:30."

"Espo? Who is the victim? And Castle," I point at him,"don't say 'the bride'.. And could you, so Espo, go and question the priest?" Normally I would ask this first, but my mind was somewhere else. By Castle and his fingers...

"Claire Miller, soon to be Claire Davila." Espo nods and looks around before leaving.

Castle quickly but politely finished Espo's sentence, like Castle does: "Before she got shot in the heart by her true love. Or her now ex-fiance."

"Where is the fiance? I ask, looking around the golden-white room. It had big windows, though it was not as luxurious as the altar room; this was just a changing room.

"Here." Ryan piped up. He was standing next to a fairly attractive man. He had warm brown eyes, though they were faded by the constant fall of tears. His dark hair was gelled back in an elegant way, but from his shivering some strands of it were falling infront of his eyes. In conclusion, he looked just like a groom seeing his dead bride.

"Hello. I'm Detective Beckett. You are?"

"You don't know who this is?" Castle asks rhetorically. He looks down the young gentleman and nods at him.

"That's Alejandro Davila. Literally one of the richest people of New York. And I'm Richard Castle." He softly smiles at him, before turning to me and scootching closer to me.

"Yeah, thats me. How could this happen to Claire? My sweet Claire?" He breaks back down sobbing.

"We will try our best to find out. Right now we need to know if there was any one wanting the death of Claire? Anyone benefiting from it?" I ask carefully; you never know what people who just lost someone they love are capable of doing.

"All of my family. They hated Claire. When I heard of her death I even thought of suicide; she was really taking the hatred hard." He says and his bottom lip starts twitching; probably anger, I thought.

"Were they in the building an hour ago?" I ask.

"No.. No one was. The wedding is tomorrow..."

"Why was she dressed in her wedding dress then?" This was getting weirder and weirder by the second.

"Oh, that's obvious. She left the house to go to the tailor. She wanted to get some final small touches."

"Where were you at 10-11:30?" I mention this question always at the end. Most people already gave me what I was looking for, and I wasn't risking of not receiving some information. People get angry when suspected of murder. But not Alejandro, I realised. He stayed as calm as he was before, and looked directly into my eyes.

"I was with my brother."

"What's his name?"

"Julio Domingo."

"Ok, thanks." I say, and turn to leave. Just as I want to take Castle's hand, Alejandro shouts out: "I really love her. I beg you. Don't believe what my family says about her."

I just nod and touch Castle's soft hand slightly. He is leaning against one of the white pillars; his face was filled with thought and worry. But as my skin collides with his, he looks up and a smile glides on his lips, making his worried face vanish.

"Done?" He asks softly, scootching closer to me.

"No... But I have lunch break now.." Even though I barely do breaks when I'm at work, I had the feeling this one was important. Castle seemed so down, and thoughful. I needed to find out what was wrong...
