Chapter 3

When we were kids, me and Rebecca would climb to the top of the monkey bars and Imagine falling off. We weren't masochists but, if we had a test or a project overdue we would imagine falling off so we wouldn't have to worry about anything else but, getting better.

That memory passes through my mind as I kneel down next to Rebecca, even though her injuries are far worse than from falling 3 feet to the ground. "Rebecca! I'm sorry!! So, so sorry!" I cry wiping her bloody mess of hair away from her face and putting her head in my lap. Olivia walks in the circle to tell me that Ms. Carnose called an ambulence.

"You should be." This is what Rebecca says very weakly, at the time though I don't hear her.

"You're going to be okay!" Tears are streaming down my face as I try to calm myself for Rebecca's sake, "I know you are. The teacher is calling help and you're going to live!"

"It's your fault, It has always been your fault. You caused all of this." Again I don't understand her.

I continue talking only half for her benefit, "Don't worry! Help is on the way!"

"I hate you." She says this clearly enough that I understand and am stunned, "I've always hated you. You always had a perfect life."

"What are you saying? I don't have a -" She cuts me off with a weak scoff that almost sounds like a cough.

"Even though this is your entire fault" She takes the necklace in her hand, she must of picked up mine off the floor, and put it in my hand. "We will always be friends forever" her breathing gets shallower as her eyes close than she stops breathing entirely.

I start doing chest compressions even though I have no idea what Im doing. I start screaming, getting louder with each word, "No, no, no, no, no, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOO!!"

I gasp in as much air as I can as the uncontrollable sobs start to rack my body. "DON'T LEAVE ME ALL ALONE!! Please don't leave me! I need you! Never leave me!"

I don't notice Olivia is behind me until she drapes my jacket around my shoulders. "Stop. Calm down She's gone." She says quietly. I can tell she is trying hard not to cry.

"LIAR!! She's going to be fine!" I scream throwing the jacket off me and continue pumping Rebecca's chest.

Olivia puts the jacket back on my shoulders, and before can shake It off she Is pulling me away from Rebecca. As soon as I move EMT guys (I didn't notice them come either) surround Rebecca's body. "No!!! I have to stay by her side!! I'm her best friend!"

I give up struggling and sob into Olivia's shoulder. She whispers softly in my ear, trying to sound like she isn't choked with tears, "It's okay. It's okay. It's going to be okay. She is in a better place now."

I turn to get one more look as they put the gurney with rebecca wrapped in a sheet, on the ambulance.

Rip Rebecca

Isn't always super sad when one of the main characters die? I wouldn't have killed her off, except that is the most imortant part of the plot. ;) I hope you enjoyed this chapter.

I am loveing the comments but I would like to hear some comments with your ideas. How you think I should continue the story? If I like it I will use It then dedicate the chapter to you. :)
