SHIELD likes Miraculous

Chapter 7

"So who's your new friend?" questions Alya.

Marinette and Alya are walking up the street that leads to the bakery. Alya has just finished showing her the Ladybug figurine that she bought. She always does feel awkward when Alya goes on an enormous rant on how amazing Ladybug - well, she - is. But now she's interested in the latest gossip. Typical Alya!

"His name is Peter Parker, he's from America, Queens, in New York." Marinette answers.

"What's he doing here?" Alya asks.

"He was on holiday, but decided to stay a bit longer. He's set up a sort of transfer student thing with one of the schools. Well, his aunt did." Marinette replies.

"Neat. I wonder what school he's going to..."

The two girls to walk into the bakery.

"You know, Marinette, he's pretty cute. If you don't get together with Adrien, you could always date him." says Alya, with a sly smile.

"What?!" shrieks Marinette, flustered.

"Relax, Marinette. I'm only joking." laughs Alya, "I've got to go, the LadyBlog awaits! Bye Marinette!" she exclaims, while running out the door, bags in hand.

"Bye, Alya!" Marinette calls after her.

-At The Agreste Mansion

"It's time to patrol, Plagg." calls Adrien.

He sees a black blob dart across the room and hide under the pillows, on his bed. Plagg does not like patrols. He would much rather stay in and fill himself with as much camembert as possible. Which is a lot. So, when it came to Chat Noir having to leave, He was always rather reluctant.

"No time to waste, Plagg." says Adrien, "I have to see Ladybug."

"Why does Ladybug always have to be more important than camembert?" Plagg whines, "I'm sure she could patrol just fine on her own."

By now he was hovering in front of Adrien.

"I can't miss out on an opportunity to see my lady!" exclaims Adrien, "Besides, I can't leave her alone with this 'Spider-Man'."

"Not this again, Kid."

Adrien has been worrying - well stressing... More like completely freaking out about who Spider-Man is and what he wants. And Plagg would be worried, given Chat Noir's first instincts, except that he knows how Adrien feels about Ladybug. So, according to Plagg, Spider-Man is either a really un-akuma like akuma, or a miraculous wannabe and Adrien's just jealous.

"I'm telling you, Plagg, there's something off about him."

"Adrien, unless you have solid proof, there's nothing we can do." says Plagg, staring at Adrien, straight in the eyes.

He turns away from Plagg, angry that he didn't believe him. He then calls out, "Plagg, claws out!" And in a flash of black and green, Adrien is gone and there stands Chat Noir.
He walks over to the various large windows, towering over the city. 'My lady will believe me.' he thinks, right as he jumps out of the window, using his staff to vault him from building to building, to the old sweet shop.
