Hello! As a part of English, everyone has to enter a short story competition within the school. The theme is "Cities in the Future", and it must be maximum 500 words (although it isn't the BBC one!). I have a basic idea, but I would like some feedback, as (this sounds really childish, but it's true) I don't trust anyone in my class not to steal my idea. So, here it is:

- A dystopian future

- The world has become overpopulated, and global warming has increased massively

- To solve this, the richer countries have basically decided to kill off the LEDCs as they contribute most to this

- But the LEDCs rebel (obviously), so now people are just snatched off the streets there, no one is safe, there are a load of bombs going off, but no one uses nuclear ones, as they were too dangerous and destroyed

- It will start off from someone who is on the streets at this point, as their family have been taken and they have nowhere to go

- It will then go back to one of the leaders who made the decision, and show that they believe that it is the right thing to do as they have no other option, and it will work out better in the long run; by creating this hell now, they have made a better future for their children

What do you think? Any ideas?

Thank you!!!
