I honestly don’t know what to do. Do I just let it happen?

“Emily!” I hear a woman’s voice yell, and she sounds angry. I sink into the crowd line waiting to meet Jordan, but it seems that there’s no one anymore. No one but me is standing in line.

“What?” She yells back, as she pulls away from Jordan.

“What the hell are you doing? Going and kissing Youtubers while I’m gone?” The woman yells at her.

“Hey, I’m sorry I didn’t know—” Jordan tries to say but gets cut off.

“Stay out of this,” The woman says angrily.

“Mom, you can stop worrying about me! He isn’t going to use me or anything!” Emily yells back.

“We came to Vidcon so you could meet your favourite Youtubers, not make full-on contact with them!” Her mom sighs.

“I’m sorry.” She looks down. Her mom leads her away and I watch them. Now I’m scared to talk to her after what just happened. I really don’t want her to know that I was watching her and Jordan. I go back to my table and remove the sign. As I start to pull out my phone to send a quick text to Tybzi, someone stomps up to me.

“Graser!” They yell, and I look up. My eyes go wide as I realize that it’s Stacy.

“Stacy?” I ask, surprised. I didn’t think she would come over to me at all. This day has been full of surprises.

“I just came over to say that I hope you’re happy that you lost your girlfriend.” She smiles evilly.

“What are you talking about? You were never my girlfriend,” I say, a bit agitated.

“Well, we acted like girlfriend and boyfriend. So, I came over to say that we’re through, basically. I don’t want to speak to you ever again and I don’t care what the reason is, but DO NOT TALK TO ME. Are we clear?” She growls. I nod, and she storms off.

I sit on the table and watch people pass by. Friends are laughing at jokes and hurrying to meet the next Youtuber on their list. Girls walk by in summer clothes that show off their bodies a bit too much, probably to impress the Youtubers. Suddenly, everything just becomes a blur. Flashes of light dance across my vision and I feel drunk. Am I drunk? No, I can’t be. As I try to stand up, my vision gets even foggier. What the hell? Dots of colour shoot across where I’m looking. I close my eyes for about a minute, and then I open them. Everything is back to normal. What just happened? Before I can question it, Emily comes up to me.

“Hey, what’s up?” I say, smiling. Tears stream down her face and I know she isn’t okay. I wonder if it’s because of the whole Jordan thing. She looks down and wraps her arms around herself.

“What’s wrong?” I say, trying to reach out to her.

“Everything’s going wrong,” Emily whimpers and I pull her into a hug. I hold her, and it’s just like it was when I first did this. Our warm bodies are against each other and it feels nice. She slowly wraps her arms around my neck and we just hug. Now this has me wondering, who does she like more? Jordan or me?
